That's what I'm hoping. That people have just had enough of the madness, enough of the head in the sand "not my responsibility" routine that have allowed things to reach this point.
If Oprah started a crusade, perhaps. And she was joined by some of the more liberal entertainers...I know she's not everyone's favorite but the woman has got power, whether you like her or not.

I wonder if someone started some kind of petition to 'draft' Oprah in a crusade against the rappers (and others who use demeaning and/or violent language in the entertainment air waves (don't know how to word what I mean exactly) if it would do any good? I can't really see a lot of people getting excited about starting some kind of petition though.
Who the f@ck is Don Imus anyway?
He's like Howard Stern, only older and not as good at self-promotion or self-preservation.
Ok. Time to vent my feelings about this. People won't shut up about it.
Like, duh, people, Americans love racism and sexism. You needed this to talk about it openly?
It makes me feel angry.
Yeah, I watched some of Oprah's show about it today. Sickening!
Oprah herself is a damn racist.
Maybe..hmm..start with not referring to people by their damn skin colour?
"We have a white woman on the phone. "
Oh shut up!
If I called in after writing a mushy-ass stupid childish letter: how would I be represented. "Oh we have a half-breed on the phone? A CANADIAN half breed."
Remember the show she had about mothers in the world? The 'eskimo' in Alaska? hahaha.
No wonder everyone is so pissed off all the time. Racists galvanizing the country with anti-racist talk!
Okay. NOT Oprah.
But who? I mean, sure, it may not work, there may be absolutely no one in the entertainment industry that could galvanize a crusade against the foulness in their industry but, I think there is. I think there's a group of cool, hip and classy young people out here, the John Legends and Alicia Keys and Mos Defs and Norah Jones' of the world who could make a difference in some way. It could prove dangerous for them but, if they had alot of backup...whaddaya think?
