Kitty, Tell your neighbor about the kittens. If the neighbor doesn't want them, ask her if it's all right for you to take them to a shelter. Or you can ask your parents what you should do. Thanks for being so concerned. You're a good person.

What has Mikey been up to? No good. That's what. You remember that Mikey was able to open the bedroom door if it wasn't shut too tightly. This got to be a problem. So if I wanted to keep the monster cat out of the bedroom, I took to shutting the door and moving something heavy in front of it. I did this last night. I awoke to find Mikey on my grandma's wing chair--in the bedroom! I guess he was busy while I was sleeping. He managed to open the door and push the heavy carton far enough for him to get into the room.

The monster cat likes a challenge.

Olga, I admit it. I'm impressed.

Margo, The silence part is questionable. There's construction work going on right outside my apartment window, so I had earplugs in. Coulda been silent. Coulda been very noisy. Quien sabe? Mikey sabe, but he's not telling.

Roberta, that is unbelievable. Nisse can hardly figure out to squeeze through a partly open door. I am extremely impressed by Mikey!!!!!

Olga, In the words of my wise old grandma, "Oy." Please let us know how this ends. I'm throwing in another oy. Oy. Just because I can guess how it ends.

URS, Mikey CAN'T figure out how to get himself through a partially open door. He sits and cries. Go figure.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ...

Roberta, WHAT do you do with a tiny, half dead mouse? Stomp on it? Shocked Wring its neck? Shocked
The best I could do was to put it somewhere sheltered AWAY from you know who!

This has all made me quite pensive.

AND looking for other signs of mice in my house.

You know who is very pleased with himself. Fast asleep. Evil or Very Mad

Put it outside, maybe another cat will finish it off...I hate to see them suffer, but I can't manage to kill them myself.

My cat caught a bird earlier this past spring. All I seen was feathers flying everywhere. The bird was still alive but a real goner...I just closed the back door and let nature takes it course. You feel bad, but there's nothing you can do.

I've done that in the past, too, colorbook.
A very sad thing to have to do.

Rosie hasn't caught anything .... yet

she makes a few dives at the birds (and gets told off) and watches earnestly, sometimes muttering to herself as they do.

Timmy once came in with something in his mouth .... stopped ..... looked at me guiltily .... dropped it ..... sauntered on trying to pretend it was nothing to do with him.

it was a baby rat, unhurt, who ran behind the fridge - as fast as we moved things, it was faster, He spent a couple of days locked in the kitchen until there was a squeaking in the middle of the night one night and he'd finally caught it.

Gautam, Cats are no more evil than any other predator going after prey. Instincts aren't evil.

Olga, I don't know what to tell you about the mouse. My experience is limited to Miranda, who left only bodies, and Mikey. I don't think this is the right time to tell you about Mikey and the mouse.

Poor little rodent. If it appears to be suffering, I'd say end its suffering, but I'm half a planet away, so it's easy for me to say that. I don't think I could do it.
