The cat stood on the burning deck
It made a change from the hot tin roof
He danced a jig with smelly rat
Then smote him dead with his lethal paw
Cat roasted the rat and ate him for lunch
Every last morsel, crunchity crunch
But cat was in for a big surprise
The flames lapped closer with every bite
He'd forgotten he was on life #9
Crackle crackle the flames were on him
Poor old cat was fried to a frazzle
A passing shark had a tasty lunch, munchity munch

Hi Margo, Somewhere in the recent past (page 22?) there was an explanation of a breakfront. It's a large thingie for putting stuff in. Mikey has turned his attentions elsewhere. As I continue to unpack my mother's stuff, I found a bust of an African man. I always loved it. Now it's on top of a bookcase. I'm waiting for the crash. The bookcase may or may not be too far for Mikey to jump on from the couch. Or he may be gauging whether he'd fit on the bookcase. He won't. Hardly a reason for not making the leap.
And what's this? You're rollerskating to the airport?

Oh, I am so happy that Nisse and Mysan hardly ever throw anything down. Actually, in this regard they behave very well. Except for books - we have a book shelf in the bedroom. When Nisse gets bored in the middle of the night he throws down books and starts reading...
Mysan is really a little lady - when she does not eat too fast and throw up...
Hi Ailsagirl, welcome to the place for cat lovers.

urs, A literate cat. I'm green with envy. Also just a little bit envious that books aren't breakable.

Nah! "Get your skates on" is a synonym for getting a move on. Overweight, middle aged dames do not venture near roller skates intentionally - we leave that to the young'uns, like Urs.
I was just giving msolga a warning about the timing to leave town - I'll be there next Saturday!

I'm still not sure that Olga will be in town - she may have to leave at short notice! She hasn't been around here since Friday.
<'sfunny, ya know - several people I've spoken to have said just the very same thing!??? Wonder what that means????? >
'tennyrate - Melbourne's good for a visit. I was there last year with my dementing aunt. It'll be nice not to have that extra responsibility this time - just me!

Olga is in town. And, god willing, will be here next weekend!
Hey, Boida, why don't you pack a few things & fly over here, too. Now wouldn't that be fun!

I expect to be there, Deb, unless my mother becomes seriously ill again. She had a stroke a couple of weeks ago & things were touch & go for a while.

I'm used to people leaving town as I arrive.
Olga leaves as I fly in.
I went to London and the Queen left.
I went to Rome and the Pope left.
I went to Sweden and everyone left! ?
I went to Aden and they deported me.....
<wonder what the message is???>

Why, thanks, Eva - I feel much better. I was noticing on the tennis court the other night that my timing was bad. It must affect everything! The other alternative is a tad sad.....

No, no, it couldn't possibly be that! We all know better!
I'm sure it's just a matter of timing. Same thing used to happen to me. Are you ahead of the curve or behind it?
