Deb, Glad to hear that Miranda is improving. I haven't gone back far enough to know what she's improving from, but I'm upset to learn that something is wrong.

Mikey is fine. We're not speaking at the moment. Ok, I've been distracted and inattentive. Is this any reason to launch an assault. If you're Mikey, the answer is yes. If you're me, the answer is no.

How lovely to see you here again!!!

Miranda is recovering from the pussy cat equivalent of a stroke.

Glad to hear Mikey is normal.

I have Lacey visiting for the weekend, which I'm thrilled about, but not Mr. Paddy! When he saw Lacey all his hair stood on end, then he went into our/his bed and pouted for a few hours. However, later on I caught him kissing her out on the porch, that was so sweet.

Lacey doesn't have a porch where she and Ms. Rae live, so she's been out there the entire time except for during the night. She is so loving it, of course I threw plenty of bird seed around so they kitties could have lots of entertainment, he he!

I love having both of the cats, even tho' they don't interact with each other much, they are just so different, day and nite.

Great pix, BorisKitten Smile

Roberta - wonderful to see you back, and OK?
And hear the Mikey tales - so what did you expect - you went away...so you must pay!

Poss wouldn't talk to me when I came home smelling of hospital, but gradually improved after I had a shower, and is now just relishing my being at his beck and call for a week or two!

Deb - hope Miranda continues to improve.

Deb, A stroke! Oy. Glad she's recovering. I'm recovering too.

Margo, Mikey was thrilled when I got home--hospital smell notwithstanding. But the honeymoon is over. Back to normal. A good thing, sorta.

it's lovely to see you back Roberta Very Happy

yes, Mikey is annoyed/worried about you being away and making his point in the way he knows best Evil or Very Mad

I've been away for a few days with family, leaving himself working and looking after the cats,

Rosie was delighted to see me home bless her and snuggled up ecstatically - aaaaah....

.... it lasted a while before she returned to her dictatorial little self on things that don't suit Rolling Eyes

It took about a week before Mikey was sufficiently himself after my return home to behave badly. Yes, he bit me. Annoying as it was (and always is), I kinda smiled.

We missed each other something fierce.

When I was in hospital, I just wanted to get home to my own bed and my own cat! (not that I had anyone else's cat in hospital!)

Roberta, hope you're feeling better by now!

Paddy is feeling much better since Lacey left ... the little bugger that he is. He doesn't like any competition, none at all!

Lacey is loving being home with Rae too ... so everyone is happy:)

Too bad you can't have your cat with you in a hospital... I'll bet we would all get better faster if we could.

When I've had a bad day and come home and pick up & snuggle little Boris Kitten, everything becomes all right in a moment. His little purry self is powerful medicine!

loved????

... or alternatively like an inefficient servant!

- not getting up at 4am to let them out - despite mad bouncing up and down on inefficient sleeping staff and mad purring

- not opening the door when reminded repeatedly that it is 'going out to play' time when staff are snuggled up uselessly reading a good book/eating/watching TV

- expecting a greeting ????! when being let in when it is obvious that the priority is checking out the food in the kitchen

etc etc etc

Well, I came back last night from Walter Hinteler's place where I spent three wonderful days with lovely A2Kers. But of course I missed Nisse and Mysan, oh and BigDice, of course ;-)

All three of them were very happy to see me and very cuddly and, yes, they did greet me. But then Nisse and Mysan don't really know that they are cats...

Some cats I've had have really loved me (I kin tell!), and some are more independent.

BK will sometimes follow me about the house crying to be picked up, rubbing on my legs.... if I bend down towards him, he'll rear up on his back legs to rub his face on mine. Or he'll rear up and put his front paws up to get picked up; when I pick him up he purrs like mad. Yeah, that's cat love.

I've always been more of a cat person than a dog one (despite having 2 wonderful dogs). You've all probably talked about this before, but a cat's love is sometimes more precious to me than a dog's, since cats are more picky about owners.

I think cats make judgments about people, whether they are good people or not, and if your cat loves you, it's because you love them back, not because you feed them. Dogs are more... slavish? Less judgmental about their owners? Something like that.

Anyway, cat love is great therapy! But you all know that already.
