Oh, yes, this is related to the space part of the thread;
you might want to allow more 'space' around me! :wink:

Terry, Thanks for the links. I will be forever in your debt if we never agree on some interpretations.

I just popped outside for a look at Mars. This is the first night that the weather has been clear enough to see anything celestial. He is very impressive this evening. It arose over my rather limited horizon about thirty minutes ago. (Eastern slope of the Alleghenies) The way the weather has been here I'll probably stay up a couple more hours to allow it to climb out of the atmospheric haze and look again. May not get another chance in this lifetime anyhow Sad .

Do you KNOW that the BB experiment will not show diffracted light? I have tried to think it through and I am not too sure either way. Knowing me I'll probably have to try it anyways if I can't find it in a book somewhere. It'll take some messing around with focal points and so on but I'll let you know if it matters.
Thanks, Mech

Red, This is generally a discussion of how to remove biases and perceptual errors from observations as to the nature of Ultimate Questions. All clear now?

So since you brought it up Very Happy What is a smell --removed or differentiated from what we think a smell is. Or perhaps it is impossible to remove "smell" from our associations with them. Go ahead and try it Exclamation M.

Hmmmm? Ponder ponder ponder! Why no I believe that memories are associated with smells and just the smell alone will be easily forgotten. I can still smell but you can only remember 30 different kinds of scents at a time and behind each of them is a memory or thought associated within one! Hmmm I must think some more!!!!

And while you're thinking Red, you really should have a look at mars (the red planet);
it's closer than it has been in 50,000 years, and for you it seems........
appropriate!

When I was 3 my mom and my sister always told me that I was from mars. One day I went to school and the teacher had a show and tell. we were to draw our houses and the best drawer wins! I drew mars and I was made fun of. Also due to the fact at a young age I watched Star Trek. Kids, those bastards, put two and two together and they called me Captain! The name followed me through high school! Dammit Spock Im a doctor not a conveyor belt!

you mean 'Doctor' Spock.

speaking of 'inate' Shocked kids are amazing; they sense something special, a little out of the ordinary, and they attack with everything they have; which fortunately, isn't very much! :wink:
