Who will win tomorrows ITT?

I think Ulrich will regain the minute he has lost at Luz-Ardiden against Armstrong.

I think, too, Ulrich will win tomorrow.

I really do hope, with either much more than one minute - or just about 45 seconds or so.

Otherwise, I would have some difficulties to watch a pleasant race on the Champs-Elysees

Sorry for the typo.
In German, it's "Champagner Etappe" = no one does any harm to the other, all positions are as they are, besides those of the day (and the green tricot).

I had lunch today with a guy (one of many in Austin, Lance's sort-of home town) who rides with Lance Amstrong. He's been glued to OLN, whatever that is, which shows the entire race, and says Lance has had one damn thing after another throw him off. But he seemed fairly certain Lance would win.

Tartarin, thank you for saying that. Last week, when he fell, the news reported that a woman put her purse in front of him. There is no security at all to this race....really bugs me. And never mind the idea of riding a bike behind the exhausing fumes of motorcyles.......... I would like to see Lance win and retire ...
The bikers are all wondeful...but damn the folks on the sidelines are mean. What the hell is with that?????????????

This woman did not put her purse in front of him. He just drove far too right on the street. Even Armstrong admitted that he wasn't quite unguilty for this fall.

I think the fans are a part of this race. Without them the climbing up the mountains would loose a lot of atmosphere.

and join an elite group of five-times champions comprising Eddy Merckx, Jacques Anquetil, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain.

But above all he will become only the second ever rider in the Tour's 100-year history to win the race five years in a row, after Indurain (1991-1995).

The main difference now is that Lance only focus on the Tour. The other Champions participated throughout the year.

He'll go to Zürich and participate in some smaller races in the USA, I just heard.

I meant stage races like the Vuelta, Giro or the major single-day road races in the spring. I dont see Lance Armstrong win Paris-Roubaix soon.

I guess its just modern cyclism. Pick your goal and work for it an entire year. Vinokourov is probably one of those 'ancient' cyclers trying to win throughout the year.
