There was an interesting article in the LA Times a couple of days ago about various bone building foods. See link for more links on onion recipes and prune recipes.

Building bones, no dairy case needed
Prunes, onions and other produce seem to help. Next up is figuring out the details.

Good find! Glad someone out there is recommending something more than dairy.
Yeh, I thought it was pretty interesting.
I'm wondering if fermented black beans have any of that MK 7....
Definitely good to know, thanks!
I'm at high risk for osteoporosis (history on my dad's side, plus amenorrheic for a while when I was a teenager) but I have the hardest time drinking milk. I take calcium supplements and try to drink milk anway, but good to know there are other options.
Yikes, I looked at the prune (er, dried plums) recipes, and copied about thirty of them...
@ossobuco,
Bumping this up, since I forgot about prunes as bone builders.... going now to my kitchen cabinet where I've had a packet of prunes for at least a year.
I/we could add some prune recipes..
