I worked for three years at a homeless shelter for pregnant women-coincidentally enough in Maine, Bangor as a matter of fact. I volunteered at family planning and acted as a labor coach for young women who had no family members or partners to go through labor and delivery with them.
I learned a lot about how unplanned pregnancies can happen, what effect they can have on a young woman's life, and how to prevent them. I just figured I'd pass that information on.
