I was confused, Stradee..... Confused I did not know Leon Leonwood was a poet...... Shocked However, after Googling L.L.Bean poems, I found a site called Schnozzfest - that did have some awful poems. Hanging head..... Crying or Very sad

clicked....................

By the way, have you all seen the news re. global warming? Two days discussion on the national news and I heard not a mention of Rain Forest destruction.

Dan, the media is more than lax when reporting enviornmental issues.

Human activity is altering the chemical composition of the atmosphere, so it isn't surprising that while they do mention deforestation as a serious problem, they arn't discussing the consequences of rainforest destruction. flooding, carbon dioxide released to the atmosphere {1/3 - 1/5} and here's a fact that people should investigate before purchasing products {vote with dollars) that tropical forest fibers are found in ropes and strings, mattresses, fabrics, industrial processes, and more.

I think the rainforest is just a small part of the whole scenario - the signs have been on the wall for several years. Maybe the efforts and money used on War on Drugs should better be used to fight global warming.

Had 2 lovely reading days. Very Happy

ul, or the billions of dollars the administrations asking Americans to fund for more troops to Afganistan and Iraq.

Afghanistan, the poppy seed capital of the world, are fast becoming the leader in exports. What war on drugs? Confused

There are two books sitting on the coffee table that call to me each day i arrive home from work. My next free day from work, i've promised myself a vacation. Very Happy

a2k an adventure in connecting lately. What has worked for me is opening a new browser window, then typing in a2k's address, and then finally there's the page!

Poor hamsters are overworked. Confused

Rain tomorrow and for Saturday and Sunday, if we are to believe the weather guy. Mild temps though, warm and cloudy! The rain Gods are smiling on the Sierras! Hurray!

Clicking for the rainforest ~ then a movie, and a good book.

Heaven Very Happy

ahhhhhhhh hot tea

just what I need after that walk from the bus stop to the house

apparently the wind chill temp right now is about -30C - it's hard to feel comfy at that temp - possible to not feel frozen - but the wind is really the critical factor

brrrrrrrr
