Keeping the home prayers humming for Noddy. Keep us informed, ehBeth.

Stradee, sometimes you can just unplug the device - like your printer - from both the computer and the power source and wait a couple of minutes - plug it back and it resets itself. That has worked for me a few times with my printer and also my monitor. It even works sometimes with the computer itself when things go wrong.

Hi Amigo!!

Good thoughts for Noddy!

Dan, that worked a few times. There's something wrong with the connection. Unistalled, reinstalled, nothing worked - it could be the driver, cable, the computer - new tecnology from the copier website - just don't know.

Plus, i have no clue how to tell the registry to reinstall a program. Done incorrectly could cause a computer crash. yikes Plus the computer is five years old - a system check probably best.

Shocked

We had an interesting 24 hours. Snow, freezing rain, sleet, rain ... in the afternoon sheets of ice started falling off the CN Tower. That's some serious stuff.

Got to work with wet feet - after resetting the clocks due to the 2 a.m. power failure - I know it was 2 a.m. as I was awake listening to chunks of ice falling out of a tree onto my house. People not 5 blocks from here still don't have power. Weird to be in the middle of a big city - and still be living so close to the edge in some ways.

My little cedar in the backyard is laid flat out - the big one is leeeeeeeeaning way over. I'm going to have to be brave tomorrow and go out in the snow (just past knee-deep - and soggy) and try and clean them off and push them back up again.

Hope the storm has passed and that you could save the trees. Still freezing or starting to warm up? After so much snow, is there the danger of floodings in your area?

Kind of stormy weather here- but very mild. Unfortunately the west wind will bring rain tonight and I had hoped to take pictures of the total lunar eclipse.

The clean-up continues here in Toronto. I was able to clean the cedars off and prop the little one up - the big one popped up on its own once the snow and ice was cleared off.

We're expecting more snow later today.

Lots of city crews out cleaning branches and tree debris, trying to get the storm sewers clear of snow and ice and junk so that the melt can escape. Flooding's always an issue after an event like this Confused

Went out to do some shopping this morning - now I'm making some veal stroganoff to hold us through til it's time to go to The Prince of Egypt. We're joining some of my pals for a festive evening - including performances by my Egyptian folklore instructor's dance troupe. I'm really looking forward to this.

Tiny bubbles of excitement about this autumn's trip to Vienna keep surfacing - I'm not a coffee lover, but I want to try as many Viennese coffee shops as possible - everything mit schlag!

I was passing by a large apartment complex with large trees growing in front of it just the other day. An official-looking sign prominently displayed by the line of trees stopped me dead in my tracks. It said

WATCH OUT FOR SNOW OR ICE FALLING FROM ABOVE

Excuse me, but where else would snow -- or anything else, come to that -- be falling from? Shocked
