Very nice, Beth, thanks.

70 temps today, beautiful spring weather ~ Very Happy

Trees beginning to dress for summer, and i cannot believe the Jade trees and ferns are recovering from the freezng temps of just a few weeks ago.

Tomorrow warm again, then for the next three days afterwards, more rain.

Thanking the gods for not sending drought to California {or anywhere else for that matter} and Springs just around the corner! yaaayyyy

Thanks for the update, ehBeth.

Stradee, it sure sounds like heaven where you are. Having been there several times - I like the area. We have the HUGE pine cones collected years ago that we take out during the holidays for decoration. That always reminds me of how beautiful your area is.

Early clicks this morn...... But, I bet Merry Andrew has already clicked.

Thanks for that vote of confidence, Danon. In fact, this being Saturday of a three-day Presidents Day weekend, I slept rather late (7:30) and have just now clicked.

20 degrees! Wow, that would be coming close to a heat wave in these parts these days. It's been teens and even single numbers every morning these last couple of weeks. 15 F. when I woke and it may get all the way to 29 or some by midday. Snow likely Sunday.

Drinking tea, clicking and listening to some marvellous pipa music as tomorrow is the Chinese New Year. Toronto has an enormous ethnic Chinese population so this is an important weekend here.

Chinese New Year-
there will be a Chinese New Year concert tomorrow in the Musikverein. The Chinese National Orchestra will perform on traditional instruments. Two years ago it was lovely.

This weekend and the next days are the highlights of this year's Fasching here. There was a parade just now in front of my house- from traditional costumes to Carneval in Rio. Nice to watch, but I miss the satirized political events on the floats.

Happy weekend to all and Kung Hei Fat Choy !

Dan, thanks!

Sierra living was only a dream of mine for many years. Was comical when i first moved here, kept thinking...'ok, vacations over - pack the truck... and go home." Almost five years later, the place still has the same affect each day. Difficult explaining the area, the abundance of wildlife, the terrain, etc. but one thing is for certain. I am home! Very Happy

Old Town Auburn hosts a Chinese New Year parade each year. Lovely traditonal costumes, great food, the locals sharing the day with gusto.

Kung Hei Fat Choy, everyone!

Dan, very sweet, thank you.

The photos you posted of your and Pattie's home and property to die for!
Arn't we all so very fortunate to live in places we love? Very Happy

ul, the town of Auburn is 14 miles west of the small village where i live - just a post office, garage, school, church, park, and a travelers inn - the town is very small and lives just a few clicks from the Corridor {hwy 80}...
but the house is nestled in a Sierra pine forest - and that's sold me the moment i saw the property. The landscaping designed by a person that i'm certain i was aquainted with in another life, was an added bonus - because i hadn't seen any of the plants or trees blooming as the property was purchased during the winter months. The herd and i arrived at the house during the evening hours, and the next day waiting for the moving van, it was quite a wonderful surprise walking through the property, greeted by Spring flowers, trees and plants, all saying 'howdy'.

ehBeth, very nice photos.

ul, your new puppy looks very happy!

Just one more day of sunny weather before the rain begins again, kittens calling from the porch.

Have good day all! Very Happy

Hi all,

Great pix ehBeth and ul.... More.....

Your most welcome Stradee. I love that area.

Here are some pix from around our home in NE TX. Mostly the trails that I walk on. The last big one is my Witching Tree behind the house - see the big "eye" looking at you?

Hey, here's an everything is connected surmise = we each click each day, that connects our click to the Care2 server, which is reconnected by the Care2 people to the appropriate businesses that then send money to the Nature Conservatory - who then purchases a few square feet of rain forest - which then is still standing after the bulldozers pass.

I'm proud of all Wildclickers............. Very Happy
