Westminster's over now and Cosby's dust mop didn't win. I saw the puppy last evening on the news.

Our puppy April is a gray toy poodle and since we haven't had her clipped for a while - she looks like a big ball of belly lint. When I take her out for her walk, I pick her up and tuck her under my arm - Patti sez it looks like I'm carrying a football - so, I now call her Wilson.

Lucky you, ehBeth. Your snow's fluffy. We got snow all right, but it's all mixed with rain and, I think, hail, and all it is is a wet, soggy, slippery, dangerous mess. Puddles like small ponds. They'll freeze overnight and tomorrow morning it'll be like driving at a skating rink. Right now it's about 35 degrees F but it'll freeze up soon enough. It's a total mess in Boston right now.

But, happy Valentine's Day, y'all.

ehBeth, I'm bigger than she - and she thinks that is why I should be her chauffeur on a daily basis.......

Merry Andrew, be careful - statistically you are in much more danger than being on the front line of war. Average casualties in a full blown shooting conflict are 3%. That includes twisted ankles and flu. Of course there are exceptions to that statistic. But, the average stands. It's a thing I used to tell people re. the Vietnam Conflict - we actually saved lives by sending our soldiers over there. More would have died on our hiways in traffic accidents if they had not gone.

Spring weather again today, and there's a neighborhood puppy that's been baying for over an hour - and i'm wondering if there's a predator animal afoot. Doesn't seem likely bears are awake yet. OOPS
Something just ran across the porch!

Was very silent for a few minutes, then the birds began chatting noisley, and the call of a hawk. Quiet again. An amazing community of wildlife greeting the day.

...and no sign of galloping critter...

Thanks ul, the weather is turning here today. It is getting colder and should freeze tonight. But, tomorrow it goes up again.
