fortunately i noticed it... how often do you actually look at your shovel?

i spoze i could use it to ward off a potential coyote or big cat attack...

@Region Philbis,
Looks good to me....for at least another decade. 95% useful is still good. Show either your parents or in-laws and they’ll honor you with a nice gift.

problem is it is basically a rusty box cutter now.

can't take a chance using it, and consider myself lucky i didn't accidentally nick myself...

@Region Philbis,
Post a warning sign on your gate:
I'VE GOT A SHARP SHOVEL
AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO USE IT!

@Region Philbis,
You do have a point. I don’t suppose a sandpaper block could rid the problem, could it?

@Region Philbis,
The trouble is replacing it with something decent and long lasting might be an issue. Not to mention finding one in the dead of winter in Boston.

the forecast keeps changing... now they're saying less snow, changing to rain on tuesday.

Whoo wee!

Just came out of a 33 hour power outage here in Austin. Lots of other people are still out. Shewolf had a hell of a time, but I think she’s back up too. She sent me a picture of ice that had frozen in her bathtub in the shape of a dick. So at least she has her priorities straight.

I’d been keeping my phone off mainly, but twice charged it in my Prius.
Now my Prius won’t start. When power was down that concerned me. But I’ve since researched and see it’s probably this smaller 12V auxiliary battery.

I’ll call AAA in awhile. Maybe they’ll have one with them. Otherwise they can tow me to a Lambs Automotive which is less than a mile away. Nothing is going to get done today for sure. This whole area was/is shut down.

It’s been in the single digits at night. Got into the teens yesterday
When the power came back on, I saw it had gotten down to 50 in the house.
