Went to my doctor yesterday
A-a-a-a-ah, she said I seem to be O.K.
A-a-a-a-ah, She said
"Paul, you better look around
How long you think that you can
Run that body down?
How many nights you think that you can
Do what you been do-o-in'
Who, now who you foolin?"
I came back home and I went to bed
Ah, I was resting my head
My wife came in and she said
"What's wrong, sweet boy, what's wrong?"
Ah, I told her what's wrong
I said "Peg, you better look around
How long you think that you can
Run that body down?
How many nights you think that you can
Do what you been do-o-in'
Who-o, now, who you foolin?"
Kid, you better look around
How long you think that you can
Run that body down?
How many nights you think that you can
Do what you been do-o-in'
Who-o, now, who you foolin?"
Who-o, now, who you foolin?"

Actually, I went this afternoon .....
And discovered I have a high blood pressure reading!
High blood pressure?
Never had that in my life!
However, I'm told that it could be an unusual, temporary result brought on by stress.
(Yep. That
could be!)
... but all the same ....
msolga, in my expert opinion, you are obviously in need of a relaxing all over body massage.
I have booked a flight out of Heathrow for midday today. See you Wednesday at terminal three, 2pm your time.
PS.....I'm bringing my special oils.
So how about you?
Had any "timely warnings" of late?
Yes, but I managed to get them out at 40 degrees, using Daz rinse 'n' fresh.

That is
so kind & thoughtful of you, Ellpus!
This is what friends are for!
(Though I
hate to put you out. I know how busy you are!)
Special oils? Sounds fantastic!
See you at 2, then!

Goodness!
(um ... what's Daz rinse 'n' fresh, Ellpus? A
mouth wash, perhaps?)
Oops!
I should had acknowledged Paul Simon as the author/composer of Run That Body Down.
Though many of you would know that, yes?
Terrfic little song from way back!
So ..... anyone else had a sobering medical moment lately?
Full of them.
So...you gonna have the damn thing read again in a little while?
When you're not writing job applications and such?

I told Nee if she got pregnant, I'd quit smoking. Two days later she was confirmed as pregnant. I'm hurting!
But she's been hurting too.
Msolga, Deb is right. When one is under stress it affects the blood pressure. Mine is usually below normal, but when I had that spontaneous nose bleed, it shot way up. Keep constant track of it, honey.
UhOh, Wilso. I know that feeling, buddy.
Great going, Wilso. As one who has also quit smoking, I sympathize.
Only once had worryingly high blood pressure. We had gone to a local mall so my teenage sons could buy CD's. I wandered off and got caught up in some health initiative where they measured my blood pressure and it was through the roof. It had always been great; what could have happened? And then I remembered -- my older teen with his brand new learner's permit had driven us to the mall...
These days it's fine and I figure it's the t'ai chi -- that's why I'm such a fan.

Really? Do tell -- have you had that check up yet?

High high or sorta high? If it's only sorta high then diet and destressing might bring it back under control. Did he put you on meds?
Take your own blood pressure:

Lol!
No......I just find every litle wrinkle etc a signpost.

Yes, of course.
In two week's time.
(Jeez, I hope I'm not in the middle of
another application then!)
