We've been having bits of snow on and off for a bit over a week now - it's starting to feel like winter and putting me in a festive mood.

Great ehBeth, send some snow to ul - she is needing it...... Very Happy

Back with some old pics =

This is Patti (on the right side), our friend who traveled with us for one week (on the left), and our Vienna friend Hansi Hanta on stage at the Volksoper

This is a shot from back stage at the Volsoper showing the back part of the rotating stage - the front part of the stage is where the above picture is located. It is really huge - the picture is taken from about three stories above the stage floor.

Danon, nice pictures.
I thought the movie wasn't great, but it was amusing to watch the disguised Vienna and one little boy who at that time was a pupil in my class.

ehBeth,
this is a beautiful snow globe.

Sunny, upper 50s- I am going to make my own snow

Yes, it is fair to say I missed a day of celebratorily large, bold and colorful letters accompanied by a line of capital spellings ending in exclamations galore.

The price of aging.

Lately, it seems weeks pass by like days did in the past.

Anyway, I have clicked for another tree.

Very Happy

Egyptian music to Buxtehude- quite a leap.
You are busy.

Nice and relaxing here- now cooking Christmas jam for a special "sweet friend".

Yesterday some hundred young people made a star out of thousands of candles in one of the shopping streets.

Special Star

ehBeth, Listening to Dietrich's music makes me look for Phantoms of the Opera. Shocked I like it though. I am getting my Mannheim Steamroller collection out this year - they are a great Christmas group.

ul, That is a nice candle arrangement. It is good that kids can get together and do things like that. Where is the star located? On which street. I would think Am Hof would be a good place for it. Very Happy

early clicks this morn - but, I am sure, not before Merry Andrews' - he is an early kliker........ Very Happy

Dan,
this star was at Wiedner Hauptstraße-5th district.
One of the many Christmas markets is located at Am Hof.

Clicked.

ul, Many years ago I would walk Wiedner Hauptstrasse down to the First District to do my exploring. My then mother-in-law lived in an apartment complex on the corner of Sebenbrunnenfeldgasse and Reinprechtsdorfer Strasse. She is now passed away. She was the best cook in the world.

That is a beautiful street.

Morning Merry Andrew, Cwick thinking...... Late up, Aaa..... That's why God made Sunday I reckon. Very Happy

We took the dogs for a nice wander in the Don Valley Brickworks site again today. Marvellous. Sunny, cold, and lots of dogs and dog-people.

Picked up a new digital camera in the afternoon. Hopefully I'll be able to get some interesting shots with it next weekend when we're out with the pupsters.
