Got hit by last week's windstorm pretty hard up here - we lost power for a few days, trees were down everywhere, including two huge ones in our back yard ( a hemlock and a pine that had incredible cones on it, darn!). I still have several large trees in my yard, but I now have to find a tree with low enough branches on it to hang my bird feeder on. Schools were just re-opened at the end of last week and power is still out in some places. Sustained 70+ mph winds have NO place up here! Scary stuff!

Lovely Christmas Day here- a walk and watching the kids showing off their new bikes, scooters, doll's strollers and dolls. They were really glad that there isn't any snow.

Just back from a walk down by the water with the entire pack.

Today the "Sternsinger" -children dressed up as the Three Wise Men or the Three Kings accompanied by a star bearer- started their tour. They will carol and if you invate them they will write the traditional blessing on your door. They collect money for special projects in Africa
and Asia.

Next week my daughter and he will start dog school. My Christmas present to him. :wink:

ul - dog school's a great gift. I know both of my 'rescues' benefitted greatly from it. Bailey was too shy before dog school, Cleo was too aggressive. Now they're both nice, friendly dogs. Still thieves when it comes to good food - but they're well-behaved thieves.
