I would be more than happy to continue this conversation with you. However, I am no longer willing to do it in the public forum here. We haven't even mutually agreed yet to attempt this and well...............I'm sure you understand.
Actually, I'm only interested in it because it's in a public forum.

We don't talk much any more, Arella. What wedge has been driven between us?

Wait a minute. I'm giving you an opportunity to witness the Gospel. . . in a public forum. How can you possibly deny that?

And just where did I deny that you were giving me the opportunity?

My mistake.

So, what do you think about Mattew 17:20?
"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

We interrupt this dialogue for a much needed commercial break, brought to you by Billy Bob's Casino and Bible Study.

Call Billy Bob when only the best will do. You can bet on Billy Bob.

We now return to the regular scheduled program.

I think it is a beautiful verse. I also think that it's rare to find anyone that has that much faith. Man's logic tells us that we cannot tell a mountain to go somewhere else. But God says if we have enough faith in Him it can be done.

CI,

Why do you mock me and my beliefs? If you don't believe in God then you don't believe. You know as well as everyone else that reads on these forums, that your words have conveyed the message that I am "wrong". Do you deny that you believe I am wrong about this?

AM, you ARE imposing your religious beliefs on others. You vote for laws that agree with your religion, and you vote against ones that do not agree. THAT is imposing your religious beliefs on others.

Please stop saying that you are not imposing your beliefs, when you most obviously ARE!

And your justification of "You impose your beliefs on me with your vote" does not negate your imposition.

I'm not denying that my vote is the opposite of yours. I would argue that on many issues I vote for freedom, not restrictions, freedom is not imposing any belief besides freedom. I am very much aligned with old-school republicans in that regard. The government should stay out of my business.

Oh many issues? Oh, so you have voted for restrictions? If you don't like the way it is then lobby to have it changed. Until then, we are equal under the law. I can accept that. Obviously, you can't.

Still waiting CI...no evidence that I am imposing my beliefs on you or anyone else with my vote, other than your opinion that is? Still didn't think so. Rolling Eyes

I do accept it. I have never claimed that I do not impose my beliefs on others (however infrequently that may be; I can't even remember the last time I voted for a restriction).

YOU MADE THAT CLAIM Arella Mae. NOT ME. YOU LIED, NOT ME. I'm glad you're done with this conversation.
