It's all in the blood, the powers at be wanted everyone believe Columbus "discovere" America, so, indeed, everyone believes it.
Why aren't the vikings mentioned? They weren't in the bloodline.
The real question is this, why choose Columbus to supposedly discover the 'new world'?
