That merely depends on the strength of your will.

Wouldn't a suicide be a nihilist, as far as we know?

Suicide is a fascinating philosophical theme. I think it could indeed be the dead end for which any nihilist reflection is responsible.

This is interesting, because, scientifically, nihilism is wrong (see thread). Therefore suicide would be wrong.

O.K. NNY;

you seem to have mastered evading any sentient thought;

I don't agree that nihilism is "wrong" -- whatever that means! :wink:

truth
It seems to me that a person might commit suicide EITHER for reasons of nihilistic depression (life is meaningless, not worth living, etc.) or because of the frustration of meaningful goals. One might end himself because his life is not matching his ideals. Frustration as opposed to depression might underly suicide.

I shall make an ice cream pizza, with one half sorbet for BoGoWo. Then I'll kill myself.

In the last three posts are RedHorn, BoGoWo,and Cav trying to give us illustrations of their conception of nihilism?

Exactly! A Nihilist may not want death but Pizza and Icecream and live for all of the finer epicurean pleasures in life! So why suicide?
