Venezuela Dictator Vows To Bring Down U.S. Government

Venezuela government is sole owner of Citgo gasoline company

Venezuela Dictator Hugo Chavez has vowed to bring down the U.S. government. Chavez, president of Venezuela, told a TV audience : "Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We have to bury imperialism this century." The guest on his television program, beamed across Venezuela, was Cindy Sheehan, the antiwar activist. Chavez recently had as his guest Harry Belafonte, who called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world." Chavez is pushing a socialist revolution and has a close alliance with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Regardless of your feelings about the war in Iraq, the issue here is that we have a socialist dictator vowing to bring down the government of the U.S. And he is using our money to achieve his goal! The Venezuela government, run by dictator Chavez, is the sole owner of Citgo gas company. Sales of products at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our government.

Take Action

Please decide that you will not be shopping at a Citgo station. Why should U.S. citizens who love freedom be financing a dictator who has vowed to take down our government?

Very important. Please forward this to your friends and family. There's a good chance most of them don't know that Citgo is owned by the Venezuela government.

YOU CAN VERIFY THIS ON THE CITGO WEB PAGE.

Let's face it, they will have no trouble selling their oil elsewhere. Citgo employs thousands of people in the US, they need the work. And besides, is buying oil from the Middle East really any better?

This is not a new idea for 7-11, they have been planning to market their own brand for the last couple of years (according to their stock reports). The reality is we need to get off the oil tit and stop funding fanatics around the world with our fossil fuel addiction.

I haven't bought gasoline in over a year.

Not that I would care if it came from Citgo or any other oil company. They are all a bunch of theiving, world-wrecking bastards anyhoo.

This is extremely important. We cannot allow the U.S. to be controlled by the "world view", which is decidedly socialist.

Sheehan is a traitor - and a bigger one IMO for not trying to kill Chavez when she had the chance. She luvved him.

Socialism has it's ups and downs, just like capitalism. The new ecnomic order will take the best parts of both, and encourage cooperation as well as competition.

Making Socialism out to be pure, unadulterated evil, is no different from those who claim capitalism is pure evil.

I agree with your statement about socialism and capitalism.
However, this is more than just gasoline. If you turned on a light, used a tupperware type container, or ate anything made with corn - you have given money to oil barrons.

I know. There are ways to attempt to mitigate this, but in the end, you don't have a choice thanks to the fact that goods have to be shipped from one place to the other.

So, I do what I can; ride a bike, try not to buy or use a lot of plastic (especially so-called 'disposable' plastics), recycle, plant trees. Last year I planted over 1000 trees, and it only took me 5 Saturdays in which I wouldn't have been doing much other than watching TV.

Cheers

No worries, it's easy to do and fun.

I've been toying recently with the idea of starting a tree-planting campaign in suburban areas which have been basically cleared out during the housing construction process. It's really sad when you see a neighborhood, and there isn't a single tree in it that is taller than any of the houses around it, becasue it was cheaper to clear the whole area than it was to leave a few of the big old ones standing.

I'm attending a conference here in San Fran on getting Non-profits started up next month, so maybe I can get the ball rolling. At the same time, I've been researching different types of trees and why they would be better in once place or another... and been reading on building treehouses as well. I'm going to work on a cooperative treehouse building project starting next spring, and I'm looking for unique and cost-efficient designs that could greatly enhance the space available to one's property lot by utilizing vertical area in trees.

I think it's completely possible to be both environmentally conscious, and profitable at the same time.

Yes, and they are beautiful trees as well. Not to mention useful; willow lends itself to making baskets and ghetto asprin (helped me out in the woods a few times when I had a scrape, willow bark).

I like to plant a mixture of different trees, depending on the quality of the soil, the climate, and the needs of the area - shade, topsoil conservation, proximity to water, fruit or flower bearing, etc... mix it up a little bit.

I usually go back and train them a little bit to make sure that everything is going alright, if I get a chance. It pains me to know that many of the trees I planted in Austin aren't going to make it (such is life) and that others are going to be cut down by someone....

I've always admired Hugo Chavez.

Anyone who despises Bush with such a passion can't be such bad guy.

Wish I still drove so I could fill up at Citgo. I'd think of you and smile, cjhsa, every time I did so...

I don't understand how anyone can think that it's a good idea to help out a guy who hates our country so much.

Chavez is an a$$hole, and we shouldn't be helping the dumb f*ck to stick it to us, no matter what dumbass monkey is running our country at the moment.

It would be the equivalent of a guy saying he wanted to butt-rape your dad, and you going, "here's a baseball bat in case you want to loosen him up a little bit first!"

But hey, to each his own.

If more of us gave a rat's ass about where our gas $$ goes, we wouldn't have so many gas guzzlers on the road.

Anyone who thinks that Chavez is the only bad guy who benefits from our stupidity is an imbecile.
