Thank the Lord, I no longer commute to Park Street - however, I do remember seeing pools of thermophiles on the floor of the red line.
And they are resistant because people who have HAD tb, never finished their medications.
That strain of TB they had, grew to be able to conquer what ever anti biotic they were taking at the time, only to spread it self to someone else who may have done the same thing.
Over time, that one strain of TB has been exposed to many drugs, and like us , has a great "immune" system..
