Yep, I will eat chips and salsa without hesitation and have no problem dumping cans of them into my chili but I just cant eat them whole and I have tried time and again.

I haven't eaten tomatoes until I was in about that age sublime is now.
And I can't say that I really favour them now.

Haven't had okra very often - gladly not!!!

I with you on the beans thing but sprouts are top, especially with Christmas dinner.

Most hated for me would have to be BUTTERBEANS - EEEEUUURRRGGGHH

I like okra when it's been cooked with canned tomatos....that cuts the slime.

I know a couple of people who really don't like tomatoes, or can only eat them, like sublime, in a certain way.

The other day I found these 'maters called Dirty Girls....something about them being dry grown, forcing the roots to go deeper. They were small, like the size of ping pong balls. Not at all like cherry tomatoes, they looked like regular tomatoes, only sized down.

All I know is each of those babies had all the flavor of a regular size one packed into that little shape.

They were expensive, but worth it....I think I'll go and see if there's any more.

There's nothing worse than getting one of those cardboard tomatoes that never ripen. bleech.

I had just been wondering while going over the posts on this thread as to what this Okra thing is. Googled it. And what the HELL!!

Okra is none other than what we call Lady's finger. Man, its my fave!!!!

Okra haters:

Come over to India. Let your palate have a taste of the Okra we cook and you wouldn't dislike it anymore. Very Happy

I love every sort of vegetable, if cooked properly. At the [t]top[/i] of my list of delectable viands are cauliflower, brussels sprouts and lima beans. Does that make me a weirdo?

(I also eat meat, poultry and fish and shellfish, so maybe there's hope for me yet. But vegetables are delicious as a side-dish.)

Is a beet a vegetable? If so, put me down for that.

Besides, gus, beets match your complexion. Or, they do mine, anyway.

I would rather be dragged through the desert, naked, by wild horses, than consume a single beet.
