Bloody hell Setanta does rock and roll now? I knew he was pretty hot with history but not heavy metal. Nice piccy timber, anyone you know?

Did you know that a bloke called Jack Crapp played for England at cricket.

From Google-

Quote:
Full name: John Frederick Crapp
Born: 14th October 1912, St Columb Major, Cornwall, England
Died: 13th February 1981, Knowle, Somerset, England
Batting: Left-hand batsman
Teams: England (Test: 1948-1948/49); Gloucestershire (Main FC: 1936-1956); Marylebone Cricket Club (Main FC: 1948/49-1955); All teams
. Well what a co incidence. As anyone will tell you who pays any attention (ok no one) to wot i rite, we often go to St Columb. Next time I'll be on the look out for a Crapp plaque.

Enough with the cricket now, boys...

(smorgs adopts matronly tone, and folds her arms under her ample bussoooms)

This is the British thread, so I'm posting a British girls night in:

Last night I had arranged for my friend Linda to come round to mine. We wanted to complete 2 (internal) job applications on the PC, I had emailed them to myelf from work.

Then my friend Eunice phoned to say she was coming as well.

Both came bearing vino!

We sat there and chin-wagged and laugh hysterically for three solid hours, pausing only to pour more drinks or light fags... and even then... not pausing... as being from Manchester, we can quite happily light fags WHILST talking!

I always call Eunice - Eunuch for some strange reason, my granddaughter actually thinks Eunuch is her real name! But she's a good egg is our Eunuch; she had me in hysterics showing me how her (recently burnt) index and middle finger had developed into an entity of their own, due to them being so painful, she had to hold them aloft in front of her. Causing much consternation at the Jobcentre as she interviewed customers and spoke to managers, whilst giving the V and clutching her wrist with the other hand! Do you get the picture?

Then she told me that whilst watching telly, she had to put the fingers on a separate cusion, and no-one was allowed to sit on the settee in case they knocked 'the fingers'!

AND, in bed she had to put them on a pillow, but make sure they were covered up to the first nuckle with the duvet, 'cos the rest of her had got cold in the night!

She had to have a bath with her hand in a Tesco carrier bag.

And sex was out of the question as she screamed 'The Fingers' everytime he came near her...

swear, it was like an episode of corry...

Then me and Linda got the craft box out and made a little red satin cusion for Eunuch's 'fingers', it had gold sequins around it and a stuck on 'E' in the corner. How resourceful are us women?

Eunuch had the cusion on her desk this morning when I got to work and it made me piss myself laughing all over again as she actually had 'the fingers' resting on it - like it was perfectly normal!

We didn't do the job things - but a good time was had by all!

STEVE! As an ex nurse, friend, mum - I can assure you that medical attention had been sought previously (and not a dab of TCP - my Mum's cure all). Eunuch was dealing with the aftermath.

As if!

Talking about women's chests...I'm not making this up... would I? The original Roman name for Manchester was Mamcunium or something similar, named after the mammory-shaped hill on which they built their fort. A suggestion to visiting scousers or geordies...try telling a Manc that he lives in Tit-town...

Actually, steve, we call her The Eunuch, not even just Eunuch.

Linda says that she should have her own telly show called The Eunuch, a bit like Judge Judy...
