I shall also be glueing my wig on tight, for when I venture out into the hurricane in order to walk the dog.

The last time smorgs locked both of us in there, it was a lot messier than that.

Towels, knickers and bras all over the place!

It raining here and the storm will soon arrive.

So I had to shut down my webcam.

But here is yesterday's view as a still photo

(Not only my "restroom" but for all the neighbarhood, of course.)

I wish! My bathroom is much tinier than that, dadpad!
I live in a Lilliputian old terrace. Gosh, they must have been midgets, those Victorians!

With rain lashing down outside, yet again, and the ground like a swamp, the roads like rivers and my back lawn looking like a muddy swimming pool....there's GOOD NEWS for us Londoners and others among us who live in the south of England.

THE HOSEPIPE BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED TODAY!

WHOOPEE! I am going straight outside to water the garden!

Celebration time.

The Pomgolian cricket team snagged a last-ball victory over the dismal Kiwi side in the one day Tri series.

That should help them when in the mental stakes when they again meet the kings of cricket.

Not. LOL. Very Happy

Drat. Big bit of side fence blew down in the gales.

The wood is rotten, so it's not an easy fix. I was putting off replacement of the fence until I had dealt with some tree roots which are damaging the wall underneath, but of course Sod's Law applies.

Managing a pomgolian cricket team is never going to be a bed of roses.

My heart bleeds for you, hombre.

Did you get that smorgsie?

You're a Civil Servant I gather.

How do you interpret "more or less"?

I interpret it as: less = on a diet, more = not on a diet.

I'm going on a course next week to learn how to make decisions! (really)

Bloody Hell! It's really blowing a gale, we have had to close the main door as the tiles are coming off the roof, in case they fall on the Jobseekers! Never mind the staff.

Just got blown to the shops and back - and the wind blew my dress up! Good job I had my frillys on...

Fire truck just arrived outside my house, sirens blue lights etc. Two "fire fighters" jumped out, but its ok I know one of them, he lives a few doors up, forgotten his sandwiches.

The storm is getting worse now here, too (currentyl [at the supermarket, Steve] 55km/ = 7 bft). It's said the worst will come after 16:00 GMT.
Schools finished earlier today.

OMG!!!!!

Are you okay?

Is there any damage?

Camera crew have just been filming here - alerted by the near miss and closure of the main door - I have to watch the local news tonight, you'll see me waving in the window.

There's a rather large tree down and blocking the exit from the nearby park. A pack of schoolboy rugger buggers are climbing over it in order to get to their playing fields.

Good on 'em!
