No-one and no law expects that a policeman acts when he notices a misdemeanour. And in fact, someone doing such would have some difficulties working with his colleagues.

And I can understand why. But that's --- AGAIN -- not relevant to this particular matter, since the cop was performing an off-duty job where he was requested to enforce the no jaywalking law in effect on the block between the hotel he worked for and the hotel across the street.

I'm still at work...

15 mins to go if anyone wants to pop in and make a claim to Jobseekers Allowance.

And I've just signed The Electronic Media Policy to say I won't use the internet without permission...

Don't tell on me.

Did you get that smorgsie?

You're a Civil Servant I gather.

How do you interpret "more or less"?

This is really hot off the news.

Sky News has just announced, in serious tones, that the end of the world is nearer now than it has been for the last twenty years.

That's a bit like saying that one is nearer to the Spiral Nebulae when one gets up to take a leak or reaches for the sauce bottle.

well it would be. Twenty years ago had twenty years longer to go. But I am sufficiently concerned right now to go to bed, and ask why are you not tucked up Master Spendy?

Mornin', Ellpus!

Nah, no wind out there that I can see.
It's relentlessly hot, steamy & sticky & it's given me a hell of head ache!

Here it's stormy, squally, rainy and quite miserable looking. And that's only the weather.
I'm not looking my best either (or so I'm told) so no cameras here thanks.

I, myself, am sporting a Union Flag thong, skateboarders kneepads and a pair of green, fluffy "alligator" slippers.

I'm sorry to turn the women on, so early in the morning, but there ya go!

OK, then!

Someone, surely, must be looking & feeling fabulous today, in the UK or elsewhere.

Who could it be?

Own up!

McTag I'll make your day a little brighter. Still a nice 30 degrees here and about to hit the beach for a swim. Tropical Monsoon rains fast approaching and about to bring us some welcome relief from the terrible drought we've been experiencing. There will be dancing in the steets tonight when Louis sends her down.
