Hanging's too good for him!

They should hoist him up with rusty wire and leave him there to dry.

The better to reflect on his misdeeds.

And what use is he dead?

He could explain how to run Iraq.

It's a sectarian murder actually.

He could work in the sewage works at least. As a tomato pip extractor.
It would save all the tanks being overgrown with bloody tomato plants and blocking up the outflows to those at lower sea-levels.

Good morning to this year's last weekend!

I just read that this thread would be a lot more educated if some of you where from Newcastle:

Quote:
... people in Newcastle are more likely to visit art galleries, museums and concerts; have better libraries and bookshops, and have more arts students and the second highest number of theatres ...

You've gone and streeeeeeeeeetched the thread, Walter, dear...

...and I can't read it - even with my reading bins!

I agree that he should not be hanged. They have arrested the Rwandan murdering bastard that lived not a stones throw from our gaff. He will be extradited on condition that he will not be executed if found guilty. He is responsible for many more deaths than Sadam.

It is sectarianism - he should get life.

It's true about the tomatoes... and tomato plants grow around the treatment works at Barton.

The tomato has a very hardy seed which passes undamaged through the human gut.

Then nature takes its course.

Isn't nature wonderful.

I didn't know he had already been executed - just read the news.

Did you see the headlines in the Sun?

'THEY THINK IT'S ALL OGRE'

Anyone else fancy a spot of decorating?

I provide copious brews, overalls and barmcakes...

spendy - you do nowt all day...

Here here Smorgsi girl. Get the idle Yorkshire oaf round there with a roller in his hands, the pillock wouldn't know which end to use.

All the best for the New Year!

I reckon the hanging was a disgrace, nothing gained at all.

I must admit to being an absolutely crap painter and decorator. I understand you have to serve your time and become an alcoholic first of all.

The position would be far better suited to Spendi and or Mac.

Mac lets you know bang on, no way is he painting your walls. Spendi simply ignores the issue, like your talking irresponsibly and ridiculously, you wouldn't really expect that lazy oink to help you out would you?

Now you know it's not like me to post in a negative manner, maythos, but...

It's all posted tongue in cheek.

I don't EVER expect ANY man to help ME in out in ANY circumstances EVER!

I have rallied me bitches... they will be there, with mops and distemper, full of cheer, bawdy humour and dressed appropriately - but still looking gorgeous.

...and if Ellpus live any nearer, he would be there too, if only for the craic.

I'm having a hard time decoding (and translating in French) cricket terms:

Any takes?

Hey nobody has attempted to answer Francis's question yet. You English should be ashamed of yourselves. Although this is a very hard topic for a Scot, I'll give it a go:

"Slips" are the slip fielders which stand near the wicket keeper, behind the batsman on his off side.

"silly mid-on" is a fielding position about midwicket, on the batsman's "on" side (i.e on his right for a right-hander). I think it's called "silly" because it's a silly place to stand, near the bat where you could get hurt.

"third man" is also a fielding position, but I don't know where it is.

Third Man: I gogled for it.

It is a fielding position behind and in line with the slips (relative to the strike batsman), but out near the boundary:

You are from Liverpool, so you're excused, dear Smorgs.

Liverpool is a different country.
