On the radio this morning they were saying that the Mormons were getting a lot of converts in the USA at the moment.

Funny old world, isn't it?
I dont think its funny at all that apparantly intelligent people believe God gave his word inscribed on golden tablets to a lunatic called Joseph Smith. Only he could interpret what God had in mind for man, aided by his special crystal spectacles.

It's a crying shame that these gold tablets unaccounably got lost....they would certainly have helped to clear a few questions up.

Maybe but not as strange perhaps as Him upstairs, who tells three blokes representing 3 tribes telling them they are the special ones, retires from the world for 2000 years or so and lets them fight it out. Talk about lighting the blue touch paper...

Apparantly a Mormon is standing for President in 2008. Cant wait.

Well, I just thought that one of the bedsprings had given way, spiking her and making her scream loudly.

Deaf in my left ear now.

She makes a damn fine breakfast, by the way.

Hey you're looking at the champeen for overlooked posts. I write in invisible ink, it seems sometimes.

Anyway I've been invited to take part in a fishing competition next week, so I've got to go and check my tackle.

What?

In this weather?

They must be round the twist. Isn't it kinky paying out to suffer pain and discomfort?

Well it WAS my tranny night, maybe that's why she chatted me up!

She showed me the Mancunian way, which was nice, but then I showed her the London way and that's when the screaming and back scratching started.

At just gone 2am, she ran from the bedroom shouting "I'm converted".

I went to the Church of Scientology this afternoon. (A tent in the market)

A very nice young woman with an American accent told me all about it.

She answered all my questions except the difficult ones and handed me a book by Ron L Hubbard.

Is this for me? I said

No she said, but you are welcome to buy it.

The girl was wearing a sort of luminous jacket with various symbols on it and "Volunteer Minister" on the back.

Did you ask her why Tom Cruise is being such a prick?

McT, fishing is daft - and shouldn't be called a sport, as it is in no way 'sporting'. It's cruel and unecessary. You should put your tackle to better use!

And I don't care what anybody says - I think fishing stinks, fish feel pain you know...

You should remember that next time you chose to put a hook in a living creatures mouth, just for the hell of it!

phew! That's a load off...

She would eat one Tico with a shrimp entree, and some vegetables that only ever wished to be left alone to sunbathe, served by a handsome Italian waiter displaying all due deference. Under discreet lighting conditions of course courtesy of our brave soldiers.

She eats tuna you know.

Variety is the spice of life Spendi.

We could all conjure up fancy stories about the 'Old Man Upstairs'
The really clever bods make millions out of the believers, similar to the Roman Catholic and English Church.

They provide a service and fulfill a need.

It's the same with many other businesses which make billions never mind millions.

You believe, and it is a belief, that travel broadens the mind. Catering to that belief also makes money on a grand scale. Judging from the well travelled I have met, and it's a lot, they have had a sort of lobotomy.

Are you not a capitalist?

Of course I'm a capitalist.

Do you have some kind of problem with that, or are you simply curious about the reaction from the communist factor?

It's true...

I do eat tuna... and meat

I am aware of the contradiction.

Do you like fish, spends?
