May I now have my question answered please?

I'll read the answer when I come back from the dentist.

Is it the one about "gooners", McT?

I thought it was rhetorical....

Yes, it comes from wordplay on "Gunners", and seems to have become the popular term for Arsenal supporters over the past five years or so.

Have fun at the Dentist, and remember not to chew on that side for at least twenty four hours. You can suck things once the numbness has worn off. Toffees are banned, I'm afraid.

Thank you, milord. Gooners or Gunners it is.

Did not need Novocaine but am patched up pro tem. I now can tackle the Xmas grub like a trencherman, as heretofore and to the manner born.

I apparently now need three crowns, which makes me sound like a pub.

Very Happy

"Skip the light fandango...."

I see that the long-running Whiter Shade of Pale court case has concluded, and the organist (the plaintiff in the trial) has benn granted a share in the song's royalties.

Good thing too, in my opinion, I thought the organ intro and fills were the best bit.

I wonder how much money he will get? Any of it back-dated? A nice Christmas present, anyway.

I've been for xmas lunch with Linda, around the corner from the office. We are trying to behave ourselves and not appear pissed. I must say though, I'm very giddy!

I'm going to let all my customers off anything this afternoon, as I'm full of festive cheer.

Happy Xmas everyone

Sarah

I went to the Church of Scientology this afternoon. (A tent in the market)

A very nice young woman with an American accent told me all about it.

She answered all my questions except the difficult ones and handed me a book by Ron L Hubbard.

Is this for me? I said

No she said, but you are welcome to buy it.

The girl was wearing a sort of luminous jacket with various symbols on it and "Volunteer Minister" on the back.

On the radio this morning they were saying that the Mormons were getting a lot of converts in the USA at the moment.

Funny old world, isn't it?

Ellpus (I'm whispering, 'cos of your hangover)

Further to your recent correspondance regarding the Mancunian band 'Take That'.

I have been listening to the album - it's very good!

There's a track called The Mancunian Way - but this is my favourite:

My clothes smelt more smoky than usual after the pub last night.

So I'm freshly attired.

Although that's the only thing about me that's fresh. Smile
