Funny, McGentrix! In quite an extraordinary way, too, because you've fallen into the exactly same trap!

Of course the administration linked Saddam to 9/11. What they not did do, at least not explicitely, was saying that Saddam was behind 9/11.

Link Saddam to 9/11 they did.

Really? Are you sure you are just not listening to the anti-Bush propaganda?

I am sure that if such an event happened, you could find numerous quotes and such, right? Other then Bush saying 9/11 and Iraq in the same sentance. Iraq is part of the war on terror. The war on terror is happening because of 9/11. Remember that.

The media linked Saddam to 9/11, not the administration. Please lets all keep that in mind. Certain members of the administration have used 9/11 to explain the war on terror and have used the words "9/11" and "Iraq" in the same sentance. The media blew it up and made it an issue.

like in this report?

Case Closed

OSAMA BIN LADEN and Saddam Hussein had an operational relationship from the early 1990s to 2003 that involved training in explosives and weapons of mass destruction, logistical support for terrorist attacks, al Qaeda training camps and safe haven in Iraq, and Iraqi financial support for al Qaeda--perhaps even for Mohamed Atta--according to a top secret U.S. government memorandum obtained by THE WEEKLY STANDARD.

<snipped>

But there can no longer be any serious argument about whether Saddam Hussein's Iraq worked with Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda to plot against Americans.

next time you quote a media exaggeration, perhaps you should add a disclaimer. on the other hand, when Dick Cheney himself appears to endorse the report, i can understand if you were temporarily confused:

Quote:
Editor's Note, 1/27/04: In today's Washington Post, Dana Milbank reported that "Vice President Cheney . . . in an interview this month with the Rocky Mountain News, recommended as the 'best source of information' an article in The Weekly Standard magazine detailing a relationship between Hussein and al Qaeda based on leaked classified information."
