I found this on my travels.
http://innergeek.us/geek.html
It could be funny or it could be embarrasing
I found most of the test totally alien to my life. I skimmed, but saw no point answering the few that applied.
That's fine Edgar. Probably shows your life is fully rounded. It's probably written by a geek who is perhaps lonely
I took a quick look, but man....it's long....one day when there is less to do
uh oh - I did take the test. I came out skewed higher than I would have thought because I believe there is more weighting for sci-fi readers, art fans, trivia enthusiasts, and readers in general. I took it because an online fellow I know with Lockergnome tood it and he scored a 33% Totally Geek. So, I thought maybe I'd end up a "poseur" or Newbie, but instead came out with 35% Totally Geek. Now this puts me in the low middle of the charts there, and I'd be fearfull, as in afraid, very afraid, of the Supernova Geek Demi-god....lol!
oak, The test was too long, and I'm retired from work.
Besides, I don't know what "geek" means. c.i.
I scored a little over 10%. Odd.
Found most of the questions not-applicable.
I think a 'lonely geek' was a good assumption ~ as far as the author of the quiz goes.
Craven
I'm very surprised to hear that! Hmmmm....
Not that I think you're a geek by any means ;-)
I scored a 10.6. Never thought I was a geek. Guess I was right.
Is this something I should aspire to?
Nowhere, NOWHERE! does that test mention biting the heads off of live chickens at the sideshow.
Craven, I do find it odd that you scored low. Now Roberta's score was no surprise, ha ha! My own score must have been boosted WAY up by all the reading, the art, the gaming and board games, the comics and anime, etc. interests. Certainly not a high score based on being a techie. And, I've always had lots of friends and a dating life, so I'd have thought those questions would bring me lower in scoring. Hmmmmm. What was especially fun was reading the Guestbook on that site as to the responses of those who reported their scores. Lots of fun!
I scored low because I'm not a sci fi and RPG fan.
Plus I think they treat all entries as equal.
e.g. writing your own program is worth less in the quiz than being a tolkien fan AND watching star trek.
Kinda silly.
I thought that test was funny -- definately geared for the sci-fi/rpg geek. I scored 26% (total geek).
Whew! Not a geek...7.10059%
However, this was an unwelcome trip down memory lane. I was once married to someone who could have written the test.
17.75148% - Geek
We get 1% geekiness tagged on just for being a chick. The authors read and movies seen really upped my score.
ok littlek its all over between us, you are just tooo geeky for me.
<sigh>
My tattoo is FROM the Dark Crystal - one of the movies they'd asked about.
