@spikepipsqueak,
on that night which was so long ago
I went out to pee in the snow
Found a gobsmacking sight.
"Twas a wolf framed in night.
hungering tongue's tending to forego

when those three girls walked into a bar

@solipsister,

@spikepipsqueak,
When those three girls walked into a bar
One had wine, one a coke, one a jar
One was short, one was tall,
One was round like a ball

@McTag,
When those three girls walked into a bar
One had wine, one a coke, one a jar
One was short, one was tall,
One was round like a ball
And each had a note from her Pa

They brandished their notes in the air

@spikepipsqueak,
They brandished their notes in the air
I can assure you it was not truly fair

Guy Mitchell? My favourite!
Let's sing it, and savour it!

@aidan,
I like both, have chosen to compromise.

And put flowers and stuff in their hair

I missed them somehow - I don't know how- but I did. When I wrote mine - I hadn't seen yours, and so I thought you must have just pipped me by a nose, so I left them, but now that I look at the times- it looks like yours were there long before mine.

You shouldn't be sorry - I'm sorry. I can be sort of spacey sometimes - especially in the morning when I'm back and forth getting ready for work.

@aidan,
Aidan, I did the same thing recently in the 7 letter word thread, I think. The last post was right there in front of me and I responded to the one directly above it. That last one just didn't seem to register in my brain; not the first time either. I hope it's not a tumor.

He's daft, but his dog doesn't mind
They match, 'cos the dog is quite blind.

The cat has a twitch
She belonged to a witch
Who was mad, but good-hearted and kind.

She'd cast spells on this poor little cat
But not evil ones, no never that-
Still the cat never knew

What was the cauldron stew
What would come out of the witch's hat

@Francis,
Those were too much arcane matters
When the cat turns to human it chatters.
I prefer my cats silent.
As cats they're not violent.

Unless I play tunes by The Platters

Close harmony doo-wop just irks them

@McTag,
Close harmony doo-wop just irks them
But when I roll string it re-works them.
They prick up their ears,
