I just thought of this:

"Life sometimes corrupts, while love instructs."

This is a place to put your rhymes, (clean) limericks and lyrics.

Share your poetry here.

It can be your own poetry or something that you like in particular written by others.

Leprechauns: Facts About the Irish Trickster Fairy
https://www.livescience.com/37626-leprechauns.html

Other researchers say that the word leprechaun may be derived from the Irish leath bhrogan, meaning shoemaker. Indeed, though leprechauns are often associated with riches and gold, in folklore their main vocation is anything but glamorous: they are humble cobblers, or shoemakers. Shoemaking is apparently a lucrative business in the fairy world, since each leprechaun is said to have his own pot of gold, which can often be found at the end of a rainbow.

In ancient times
Across the land
Savage enzymes
Grew out of hand
Creating Republican
Men and gals
With rubber brains
And heavy jowls
Stamping in fundamental
Stamping out fun
Stalling time incremental
At the point of a gun
Building chromium towers
Upon cesspool lakes
Burning freedom's flowers
If that's what it takes

I know that you know that I love you.

If there should ever come a day when I must leave your heart, know that I will scream and cry, knowing we must part. It's been so sweet and warm in here, I couldn't bear to leave. And know right now I shed a tear, and know you can believe, there's nowhere else I'd rather be, in Heaven or on Earth. There's nowhere else for me to go. Take this for what it's worth. If I should leave your heart behind, you'll know throughout the years, that though I had to leave your heart, I left it filled with tears.
