Did you mean Michelangelo?
(Mike's from Florence, not Rome ... uh-oh)
He sent them all reeling
When he painted that ceiling
But dropped brushes and paint on the flo'

With turpentine rags and some soap
They laboured, urged on by the Pope
No doubt a Medici
Encouraging each, he
Belaboured them all with a rope

I'm getting the feeling
He painted a ceiling
A-leaning upon one elbow.

The Chapel in question was Sistine

The Chapel in question was Sistine
But the floor at the end was not pristine
The spots, spills and smears
Had the clergy in tears

Had the clergy in tears
'Til in one smudge The Virgin was seen.

The Chapel in question was Sistine
Was it supposed to be Apennine?
Planned to soar to the Alps,
But with paint on their scalps
Mike & crew settled somewhere between.

<<We've had more trainwrecks than Amtrak lately ... Very Happy >>

The Virgin appeared as a wraith
A beatific smile on her fathe.
That vision sent chills!
Priests ran for their pills!
(The next conclave will convene in Mayth.)

Let us not forget Leonardo
Who thought that nothing was hard-oh.
It's too easy-peasy
To paint Mona Lisy

For Brigitte was once the bees knees,
A sex kitten who purred with ease.
But a fait accompli
Caused by cruel gravity
Joined her knees with those famed Double-D's.

She now works for animal rights,
Still wearing those pink Bardot tights,
Like a second skin,
Stretched real thin

what a wonderful sight to be seen -
A sausage, some spuds and a bean
Sauce- HP or Worcester
And mustard as booster
A meal fit for a king or a queen

Pope Benedict sat down to tea.
"Sorry, this must be without me!"
He said with a blush,
"Don't think I'm a lush,
But I prefer a Blue Nun with some brie."

From which to daintily partake.
Or a schnitzeled wienie
And a stiff martini
