(Mike's from Florence, not Rome ... uh-oh)
He sent them all reeling
When he painted that ceiling
But dropped brushes and paint on the flo'

With turpentine rags and some soap
They laboured, urged on by the Pope
No doubt a Medici
Encouraging each, he
Belaboured them all with a rope

But the floor at the end was not pristine
The spots, spills and smears
Had the clergy in tears
