I hope you don't mean to go through with that threat that these will be the last pics you post. Surely there must be more.

Well- I didn't thought of a threat, I was thinking of those slide shows after a trip- after a while it was boring.
Embarrassed Very Happy
There are more.

Reading here about Ernesto- Carolinas had their share of wind and rain- Susan, everything OK?

Setanta and the dogs and I drove to Kingston earlier today, to start another visit with the hamburgers.

The pix look even more spectacular on hamburger's fancy dancy monitor (I neeeed an upgrade). Great stuff, ul! Love the spoons and the braided ladies.

It was pretty much a breeze here, although I slept through much of it. We got maybe 5 inches. There were power ouitages around and the neighboring county just to the east got 9 inches. But it was a no big deal for me, personally.

Different lodgings.

Looking up from the beach. Our cabana was nearly on the top of that hill. There are 6 more cabanas and the main house.

5 different languages. That will be interesting.

The exterior facades in the colonial towns makes me wonder if there are interior courtyards or gardens, along with living quarters.

All quite here on this Labor Day.

Susan,

many of the old houses have these courtyards- some like our hotel, some more sophisticated ( the former houses of the "nobility"): with a garden, stutues, with a fountain.
Many have been converted to shops and bars, coffee shops, little restaurants, or art galleries.
You never know what lays behind the entrance door.

In Oaxaca?
It was nice- mid to upper 80s, nights in the mid 70s. It was not humid, at least after the coastal area it felt dry.
On the coast it was slightly warmer-upper 80s and very humid. But it was rain season. In winter the humidity will drop, so I was told.

Checking back in, dampened but unchastened, with hair uncontrollable. Rain and more rain. Things are very green here now.

Those courtyards remind me of the hofs in europe.

There are also many courtyards in New Orleans French Quarter.
