clicking after a great day driving up a good chunk of the Rideau Canal, and then back to Kingston along the St. Lawrence Parkway.

Got a couple of sumac pix - always thinking of friends no matter where we travel.

The sumac family has some of the most ordinary stuff in it. But some cultivars have great fall color and beautiful fruit. I am waiting for the native (can't think of the botantical) something like Callicarpa americana to finish purpling up. The color stays - cut for year round beautyberry. Leaves die off. Maybe time to change my avatar to sumac too.

Strad,
Once upon a time long ago - in a faraway place called S Korea - there was a middle aged warrior - He saw on a street named Etaywon a shop filled with stuff stronger than steel, well that's what they said at the time - so the sojur bought the stuff - lots of it - and kept it for many years.

Then recently - today - made a photo of one of the things and sent it into the ethereal mist -

the mist fought back.

Shocked

Very Happy

Don't tell me you can't find decent smoked eel in any German delis in Trana, Beth? It's not widely available hereabouts, but it's available.

Stradee, OK, NOOOOOoooooooo SCUBA diving..................!!!!!!

Might be an electrifying experience from relatives....

ul, that is a very pretty dress. I bet it's a SUMMER dress.

ehBeth, I have never tried smoked eel - but, while living in S Korea I tried eel and didn't like it - I also did not care for the FISH soup they served. However, almost everything else I loved.... Oh, for ul - there is - or was - a really nice Korean restaurant in Vienna.

I make my own, Merry Andrew. But, only the "summer" variety, not the "winter" stuff. The nice granny that took care of my assigned housing taught me how to make it - and some really tasty dumplings stuffed with veggies - and some other stuff. But, it's been years since I made kimchee - Patti doesn't like it because of the smell.

Shocked

Very Happy
