I just read that Mako died. I don't know how well known he is out of the LA area, but he was very well regarded there. My husband and I went to some of those plays by the East West Players back in the early eighties..

Sad news. I only knew Mako from the Sand Pebbles, but I loved him in that.

He was one of those actors that I love to see in anything, I remember him most for the Conan movies. He was in several martial arts films that I've seen...Perfect Weapon, Bulletproof Monk, Sidekicks.
