I can certainly agree, tentatively, depending on how hard it is to get to the location from Tampa.
the 14th is nearly here my lovelies - and we've no location.
sorry for the MIA - pc issues precluded me from coming to be with y'all here.
so...did I miss a meeting?...you know Big Dice just wrote me that he will be here March 12 to 24 with his lovely wife...if anyone is interested we can set up a meeting
Let me know. Things have been pretty weird with me lately, but if I can, I would love to see you all.
I imagine that I could probably come, at least with the guest list we have at present.
As panzade said, we will be in Florida in March - we are staying in Fort Lauderdale, arriving March 12, leaving March 23.
It would be great to see some old and new friends!
dear sweet urs...I would be honored if you and the Big Guy would come and hear our new band on St Paddies Day March 17...we'll be in Okeechobee which is the Big Lake in the middle of the state
I had to look that up on the map. That's not too far. Great! We would love that. Why don't you email the details to Stefan - since he's not driving he has to do the planning!
I'm still waiting on that e-mail, pan.... I guess we'll drive around that lake all day til we find you then...
Wait! How 'bout we all go to Okeechobee on the 17th? C'mon guys!
I would like to come, but I will only drive that distance during the day.
I would love to come but its a bloody long flight
Well, G, we're flying over, aren't we?
Phoenix, I sure do understand, lunch?
I am not as young as you are. These old bones cannot take long haul flights
(unless they are in First Class, spread out on a 6 feet bed, sipping JW Blue Label from a crystal tumber served by a sexy air steward in tight trousers)
Old bones... thanks a million, dude... I thought we were close, or was you and me missus, urs?
I could go First or business though! Budget doesn't allow it :-(
Would you stop whining, guys!? I am not complaining, am I? Stuttgart-Atlanta is really not that bad... Whimps!
Anyway, Phoenix, I would love to see you. So if lunch works out for you...
I have a question to you Floridians. I definitely want to go on an airboat ride in the Everglades this time. Anything you can recommend? I don't want to end up in the only tourist trap around... :-)
I think it will be a tourist trap, anyway, but go anyway. I checked out one on the Tamiami Trail decades ago. The price looked reasonable, but it turned out that was the price per person, with a full boat. One person would have ended up paying for a boat load of missing people.
I just had the feeling I gotta bump this thread...
You guys aren't awake yet, I guess, I'll come back later, ok?
We will go, roger. Of course you are right... They are all tourist traps
Urs, Silver Springs is delightful, and since I have been there, and taken a ride in the glass bottom boat, I don't recall it being a tourist trap. Lots of movies were filmed there as well.
Anyone heard from Panz? Big storms in Florida.
