Murdoch is not responsible for Sky Arts' programming. British Sky Broadcasting ownership includes about one-third by News Corporation, which is a Murdoch but until the original enterprise merged with British Satellite Broadcasting and became British Sky Broadcasting, it was going under. I doubt that any politically conservative programming executive director's at Sky exist.

Okay, this has nothing to do with the Bible vs. Science even though being gay has a lot to do with the Bible vs. Science.

@Lightwizard,
What has homosexuality got to do with the Bible. In those days they crucified people for not bowing low enough when the Top Gun walked in.

So you can imagine what our governments would do to some of us if the Bible was anything to go by.

They make a fuss over some ancient stonings for the sake of making a fuss over their homosexuality. It's a non sequitur on a grand scale. Do they tell their wives not to look back in case they turn into a pillar of salt?

If Prometheus got tied to a rock with a vulture eating his liver for ever and ever for stealing fire from the Gods what's Einstein going through.

I was really referring to Tristan and Isolde and the Darwinian themes it toyed around with. But I can't expect you to be able to understand that Wiz. You're only playing at being an evolutionist.

I take my hat off to Mr Murdoch and sweep it low as I bow.

. . . Now, about the grasshoppers analogy.

It's said that god made us to his image.

But I have a question: was it our bodies or our souls that he made to his image?

If it was our bodies, I cannot imagine you resemble a grasshopper, unless I'm completely wrong.

If it was our souls, I deny that I can have the soul of a grasshopper.

We are created with his attributes

Love, Justice, Wisdom, Free Will

We are not his equals, nor are we of his substance, but within our realm, we are of his image.

I am much too ugly to be a grasshopper.

However, those who have lost their attributes are not welcome:
Quote:
No one whose testicles have been crushed or whose penis has been cut off may be admitted into the community of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 23:2 NAB)

and wrote:
Love, Justice, Wisdom, Free Will

What about the other attributes: Hateful, unjust, crazy and wild, bigot, jealous, murderous, vengeful?

I really feel for you, Neo.

. . . "What about the other attributes: Hateful, unjust, crazy and wild, bigot, jealous, murderous, vengeful?" . . .

That these are deviations from the ideal in no way diminishes the ideal

" . . .However, those who have lost their attributes are not welcome: . ."

The severity of the law was a necessity as it served as a ". . .tutor leading to Christ, . . ." (Galatians 3:24)

". . . I really feel for you, Neo. . . "

And I for you, Francis

Now that one is a bit of splitting hairs!

Quote:
Nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 2:16)
How can such contradictions be justified?

So, can we infer that without that law or with a more permissive law, Jesus would have less followers?

Were they obligated to follow Jesus, under some penalty?

@Francis,
Apparently Judas felt no obligation Smile Judas was the only Idumean the other disciples were all Galilean. Perhaps an old grudge.

Yes.

And no. Although he might have mesmerised them. It's painting with dots. You need to stand back.
