The above posted "black forrest" pics were taken on the road from Taos to Tres Piedras before getting to Chama and going over Cumbres Pass into Colorado. As to the question, "where's the beef" you can plainly see that my plate is filled with shredded beef/blue corn tacos while Walter is having fish tacos.

You are only allowed to cross this pass, when you're not too large - the stadia rod is to be seen on the left ...

The area is very beautiful around Taos, especially the white wooden bridge
over the Rio Grande. But I remember the wood pilars were badly decayed.

Walter, I hope you brought Mrs. Walter some nice Indian jewlery from
the Pueblos reservation.

Do any other a2ker's realize that Walter is a total sweetie? We enjoyed every minute of his visit.

When he and Dys took the RV to the gas station, Walter paid to fill 'er up. That was a pretty big chunk of change. Not only is he adorable, he is also a class act. Dys was really surprised--that kind of thoughtfulness is becoming all too rare.

Next time, he will bring Ulla, his wife, with him. That will make it even more memorable. We can't wait.

Smooches to both Walter and Ulla.

Walter, did the wedding pictures you took in Old Town come out? I'd love to see them.

Diane, I'm also expecting Walter and Ulla to visit northern California, so don't try to monopolize their next visit. Hugs to you and dys. T.

I met Walter at the Chicago gathering. He is friendly enough and knowledgeable enough to have a conversation with just about anybody. In my opinion, he is at the top of A2K's hierarchy.

Some "stuff" which pleased her even more.
(She doesn't like turquoise very much. [I tried to buy something different at Cartier's and Tiffany's in Chicago: three times, I've been there [twice after 10 PM and Sunday morning 9.30 AM] they were closed.)

I rafted down that stretch of the rio grande. People were bungie jumping off a bridge, perhaps this one.
