Nothing surprising about that. Most people speak very poor English, indeed.

I guess I didn't realize it is that bad. You get so used to hearing all the wrong words, when someone finally points it out . . . I was shocked.

I don't understand why it's "K vs. T". Where the hell does the "T" figure in here? Is he going to get tagged in by the "G" and come in and just clean house on the "K"? And if so, then shouldn't "K" have a tag team partner too? Like maybe, "Q"?

Q is quite the badass, you know...

Crap, dlowan. You're going to have to help me cook dinner!

Yeah, yeah, I goofed up the thread title.

I am really very surprised that so many think it's thing.

Actually, it is "another THING coming" in all cases except those where it follows the phrase, "if you think...".

That is the definitive thing. I think.

If you think I'm falling for that....

What other situation would the phrase be used in?

Maybe if I was at a store buying things and I started to leave and the clerk said "Wait! You've got another thing coming."

That would be okay but other than that, when?

That's even weirder than "later"...oh wait, you're being ironic.

Careful, that's dangerous around here.

I voted before reading and was shocked, shocked, that my vote only made it a tie between thing and think. (It's THINK!)

Sounds like with dlowan's oopsie it's actually currently 9-7 in favor of think, though.

Oh, GRRR!

How can it be so close between "think" and "thing"? Who the hell are all you thing-ers, and what's wrong with you?! I demand that you all explain yourselves!! Stop sullying the phrases!!

Dlowan's booboo only makes it a tiny bit better.

He was being sarcastic...

Although it is ironic, if you think about it, that you don't know the difference.
