Brandon, if they do indeed have to draw vice presidents from the human race, how would you explain Cheney acquiring that position?

Gotcha.

A roomful of people praying is not quite the same as one vice-president napping during a meeting.

You can do better, timber.

~~~~~~
Gotta wonder why they don't give Cheney a vibrating phone or something to jolt him awake.
it's usually safer (for the nation) to let him sleep.
the lengths to which Brandon will go to defend our current administration is surpassed only by the depths he will plumb to denigrate the "other side". Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
You may now call me an imbecile who cannot back up his opinions :wink:
Well, now that you've stated the customary attack on the poster, what's incorrect about the idea my post contained? Or don't you actually care what's the truth of the issue?
Clearly, your best bet for winning an argument with me is to put words in my mouth. I did not, in fact, say that about eBeth's post, and it's not the situation in which I say it. But go ahead and keep trying to defeat my ideas by mocking me. It's clearly the only tool at your disposal.
What's wrong with the idea ... ?
To begin with - not everybody falls asleep in inappropriate places, at inappropriate times.
You're right about Cheney being a sick ole boy. Having him in a position of potential power's kinda nutty - to be polite about it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Brandon, you can send me my $20 by Western Union. U.S. or Canadian funds will be fine.

I thought everyone fell asleep at an inappropriate time at least occasionally. Well, it's certainly true that most people do occasionally. It's not a very unusual thing, and his job is probably pretty hectic. There are not a lot of known cases of him doing this, and I don't think it's unusual, or possible to indict his job performance based on this.

What on earth are you talking about, Brandon?

I was simply having fun with Bear's post.....it is time you had your irony bypass reversed.

How did Beth get into this, anyway?

You must work in a very unusual place, Brandon.

Round here, you'd be fired if you fell asleep - or at least be put on notice by your employer.

Most people DON'T fall asleep on the job, occasionally or at all.

$20.00, Western Union.

Gotta wonder why you're even trying to defend the position that sleeping at work is normal.

I have a photo of my father asleep at a Pentagon meeting. He'd been awake for days sans sleep prior to that. So I have a mild bit of sympathy to Cheney on this, but not all that much given the context, and especially not if it's a repeat performance.
