Buffet di antipasti, lasagne al sapore di mare, tranchis de salmone, carottine saltate, dessert - that's neither dinner for tonight nor mine, but what Mrs Walter got too days ago in Casino di Terra.

And now she gets homemade Westphalian peasoup.

Please report on that meal, hamburger.

.... & leave no stone un-turned in your descriptions! Very Happy

(I just know in advance I'm going to be as jealous as anything!)

OK .... moving on to the more mundane dinners ...

Last night I dined on a (not-too-bad/not exactly amazing, either) spicy fish stew. On steamed white rice.

Wish I'd had the homemade Westphalian pea soup, instead, though!

Um, a roasted veggie Plus soup...

roasted zucchini, broccoli (whoever suggested broccoli, I remembered it a few pages back, and I liked them a lot, great idea, they turned out really good... will go with it...), sweet red pepper, green pepper, jalapeno pepper, potato, garlic... with some sliced scallion greens. And then.. ba boom, some plops of pork chorizo from the local market.

Not bad....

Tsk, tsk ....

An all too common problem with hard working teachers, young woman!

You mark the homework & forget to eat your dinner!

I insist you go & prepare something extra-nourishing, right now!

(Gotta keep up your strength!)

I had fish soup - fish broth, roasted veggies including potatoes, zucchini, sweet red and green peppers, some leftover fusilli pasta, garlic, chili pepper, and a tin of herring steaks in louisiana hot sauce.

I made a corned beef dinner -- a big (4 lb) corned beef brisket from Trader Joe's simmered for 3.5 hrs, the last part with cabbage, potatoes, parsnips, carrots, and onion.

Turned out great!. Took a long time but it wasn't hard at all.

Couldn't remember what I thought about parsnips, had a nibble after I cut up the first one (raw), wasn't impressed, left out the second one, then the cooked parsnip pieces were absolutely fabulous. Phooey. Will cook up the second one tomorrow and add to leftovers.

I'm having a slice of pizza Setanta left for me and a cup of cold tea.

I'm still burping vanilla extract from today's odd bridal party game Confused

an almost perfect dinner
the lady Osso came over today and made clam/anchovy spaghetti dinner, twas wonderful; I fubared the greek tomato/onion/cucumber salad and we had no Italian bread to sop up the sauce. I ate up too much but I loved it all.
