No dinner tonight cos I'm still too stuffed from the pub lunch I had which consisted of a burger with chilli and sour cream, chips, onion rings and salad. Feels a bit sick now actually, might have a lie down.

Soup -
onions and banana pepper sauteed in olive oil,
sweet red pepper baked with olive oil drizzle,
sliced yellow squash,
left over tomatoes and black beans from the other day,
veggie broth
small hunk of cabbage, sliced,
herbs,
simmered with some blobs of hot italian sausage.

Good, that worked, think it was the sweet red peppers that made it taste so good.

Osso, you remind me that I have some soup in the freezer. I think I'll thaw it out for supper tonight. It's a roasted veggie soup with plenty o'garlic. Nummy num num. Better stop and pick up some crusty bread to go with it.

we made burger and the wife puts em together with onion and black olives and curry and "No salt" salt. I cant get em to stick together on the grill. Im doing something wrong.OR (horrors) is she mixing too much vegetative matter into the meat.?

Also, the son came up and brought a bushel of fresh peaches (freestone pink flesh)Mrs made a pie and it got a bit too runny. The flavor of a fresh peach pie is my idea of heaven. With Vanilla Ice Cream, but like only a half a scoop just for a hint of flavor not a major oinkfest. Gonna need some peach pie instructions that dont include precooking the peaches cause that punks the flavor.

Leg of lamb, roasted.
Basmati rice.

Thinking about a veggie, or maybe I'll have an apple instead.

farmerman, if you want a basic peach pie that's just about the flavour of the peaches, for the filling use a cup or less of light brown (or brown)sugar, the amount of sugar depending upon the sweetness of the peaches, 2 tablespoons of flour, more or less (depending on the juiciness of the peaches), a bit of salt and 8 sliced peaches to make a 9-inch pie.

Don't confuse me, Walter!
So many possibilities for such a weary person!

Just home from work & I'm thinking: something simple with that piece of monkfish .... perhaps bake it in tin foil with lemon & a few other bits & pieces? .... some green beans, or maybe that broccoli in my crisper, steamed .... & maybe some potato (steamed also?) (a bit of starch! Yes! Very Happy ) .....
Anyway, better than take away-food, yes?
