Thinking, thinking this (early) morning about ideas for something a little different tonight & on ... It's warming up a bit here, the sun is peeping out this morning & I think it may soon be time to escape from this boring winter survival cooking rut. Time to revive & tantalize my taste buds! Time to get out from under this miserable winter rock!Very Happy Thinking, maybe a steamed or baked whole fish with salad? Now that would be a nice change!

Olga, that sounds yummy. Tonight I had cold, leftover roast chicken and sweeet potato fries on the side. Blueberries with vanilla yogurt for dessert.

That sounds good, Swimpy.
As for me: tonight is a long way away yet. We'll see what happens between now & dinner!

Meatloaf's in the oven. Ground beef, onions, garlic, 1/2 banana pepper chopped, 1 small celery stalk chopped, torn up sourdough bread, two eggs, salt, pepper, ital seasoning, dilute beef broth poured over. Thinking, I should bake that yellow squash..

Grilled chicken breast, Greek salad and fresh from the farmer's market corn on the cob. After that digests for a while, fresh cantaloupe (or where I come from "musk melon").

A nice, tender, juicy grilled fillet of fish ("monk fish" - no bones! Very Happy ..... not familiar with that one Confused ), lots of crunchy steamed green beans (going extra cheap at my market) & an avocado (had to eat it because it was getting very ripe!).

Hubby is leaving town for a week tomorrow, so he went all out for dinner tonight. He grilled fresh shrimp, onions, red and green peppers, made guacamole, grated the cheese, stopped by our favorite Mexican restaurant for fresh salsa and chips, and steamed the tortillas....we gorged ourselves on shrimp fajitas!

Tonight: something/anything from the freezer. I will love it no matter what it is! I have been out & about & enjoying a delightful (almost) really warm day. Very Happy Tiaramisou (sp?) & coffee with W for a late afternoon snack. Yum! Home now & I have absolutely no intention of creating a huge mess (then to be cleaned up!) in my midget kitchen. It's just Sunday evening, afterall ...... Relax, relax .... Very Happy

Chamomile cauliflower soup to start, then chicken (again, been eating too much beef), corn on the cob (again, just because) and tender new carrots. Nectarines for dessert. I do love the growing season!

KFC again I'm afraid folks. Then a packet of crisps, then a cheese sandwich with picallili on it (seemed like a good idea at the time). Just off to bed to really let the calories sink in.
