I must say you seem to eat very well at your place, farmer! Fresh, healthy & tasty! Very Happy

Me, I resorted to the freezer (again) for an el quicko dinner tonight. Found a spicey tomato-based sauce I made a wee while back.
Heated it up & tossed it on some freshly cooked penne & added some freshly chopped spring onion greens & grated parmesan. Not too bad at all!

up here in Maine, the mussels are all over the place. We do have "red tide " advisories every so often . We must watch where we go to collect them.
The stemers are quite chep and the red beet greens are a staple for Maniacs. Id kill for some good sweet corn though. They grow sweet corn up in New Brunswick but its not as good as the corn we get in Pa and Md. They need to develop a better short season corn that isnt so damn starchy.

Soon time for blueberries.

Never collected my own mussels. I'm certain they'd taste quite different, so fresh! But greens! I'm a sucker for almost any variety of greens! Love em! Just a quick steam (or a fast wok saute with olive oil & a little garlic). Perfect!

Last night and again for lunch today, a slice of garden fresh tomato topped with a big scoop of mac & cheese, and green and yellow beans.

mmmmm. I'm in agreement on them greens.

Last night was a low calorie microwave meal. Braised beef with mash and carrots and gravy. It was pretty tasty actually.

lol, yeah. i say keep the junk food. i'd be depressed with nothing to look forward to without it.
one day my metabolism will slow down, and then i'll be sorry.

u can send a ticket? well, i'll ask around.
when i had my account, i had pictures like this one. i remember people, but they won't remember me - gave up a few months ago cos a had a massive fight with a guy about religion. i just continued for amusement - lit up my otherwise boring day.
and when i was in a good mood i called people dude - but no1 will remember me because i didn't make really good friends with anybody that they would.

Last night I had a Dairy Queen burger and fries. Yuck. There's enough salt in that combo to act as a deer lick.

And some kind of monster icecream peanutbutter cup thingy, which I'll finish later.

really good club sandwiches last night

mmmmmm

Setanta baked chicken breasts in an oven bag with some kind of crumbs and onions, and fried up some perfect bacon. I brought home really nice fresh tomatoes. Sliced up the chicken breasts and tomatoes, and layered everything on whole wheat bread and some mayo, salt and pepper.

Yum

today's lunch will be a toasted bagel with herb n spice cream cheese/cucumber/lox.

Cool
