@ossobuco,
Meantime, the Saveur chicken came out very well (and I manage to control myself from adding chile pepper).

@vonny,
I buy Palestinian olive oil. It's available at free trade whole earth type shops. It is expensive, but I think it's a small way of helping.

Sorry for the politics, I'll stop now.

Lamb shanks tonight.....coated in marmalade and slow slow cooked.

Just tried a bit to see if they were ready. It sort of melted in the mouth.

Hungry now.

@FBM,
You know I made this Korean soup for lunch...the one you had a few pages back. It's excellent - everyone liked it, a bit spicy though...puhhhh

@CalamityJane,
Glad you gave it a go! Yeah, it's a touch spicy for some, but that's one reason I like it so much. Very Happy

@FBM,
OK, I'll give it a go..

in maybe another week. I have what my old boss, the eminent hematologist immunologist rheumatologist, called the crud.
Plus, of course, I am cranky.

@ossobuco,
Sorry to hear you're under the weather, Osso. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb192/DinahFyre/consoling2.gif When I get the crud, a big bowl of kamjatang makes me feel a lot better. However, I can just go down the street and get it made for me. Doubt I'd feel like making it from scratch in that condition, either.

Re: oil for frying, I use grapeseed oil as I seem to remember reading somewhere that it tolerates high heat. I still use olive oil if I am oven roasting veggies.

Dinner came early and consisted of Italian chicken (a rotisserie chicken from the supermarket), a sliced up medium size Russett potato and fresh green beans. The potatoes cooked in with the chicken which I was reheating as it had been in the refrigerator. Preceded with some grape tomatoes.
