@ossobuco,
16. More shopping than cooking: Grill an array of radishes on little skewers, four to six each. Serve with butter, salt and bread.

17. Halve Belgian endives. Brush with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and grill over moderate-to-low heat, turning once or twice, until soft and browned. Finish cut-side up and sprinkle with grated Parmesan; close the grill to melt cheese.

18. Lightly char whole or halved heads of baby bok choy; drizzle with soy sauce and top with chopped scallions.

@Pepijn Sweep,
I wanted to try the recipe that littlek suggested:
http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1879905

Then there are chickpea flour crepes -
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/14/health/nutrition/14recipehealth.html?ref=nutrition

or, chickpea fries, called panisse in France or panelle in Italy:
http://dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/07/01/my-new-favorite-thing/?scp=1&sq=bittman%2520chickpea%2520fries&st=cse

and quickreading this Recipe for socca (regional french specialty) by David Lebovitz, I see that some Whole Foods markets do carry chickpea flour...
http://www.davidlebovitz.com/archives/2009/06/socca_enfin.html

So much to cook, so little time..

@ehBeth,
Beth, that's one I skipped (you know me, I enjoy Bittman) because I don't have a grill of any sort. I may go back and check that out, though, if only for the various contents that go together.

For example, those clips of yours... I could try roasting..

@ossobuco,
more from Bittman grilling 101

Kebabs

61. Odd, but good: Strawberries and cherry tomatoes, finished with basil-laced balsamic vinegar.

63. The California special: Figs, with chunks of good bacon.

65. Bread salad on a stick: Cubes of bread, black olives and cherry tomatoes. Don’t grill too long, and drizzle with basil or thyme or parsley vinaigrette.

66. Peaches, plums, strawberries and watermelon. Finish with a sprinkle of salt and perhaps a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

68. Go Hawaiian or Italian: Wrap pineapple or melon in prosciutto. Grill briefly.

@ehBeth,
you gotta use the really aged or the brilliantly faked balsamic vinegar. I often take really chep balsamic and just evaporate it and it intensifies in sweetness and doesnt cost 40 bucks a bottle.

@aidan,
Probably leftover pasta - linguini with tomato-basil-chile garlic-chopped bacon parsley sauce. Very filling and leaves one breathing fire.

@djjd62,
That one is. I have a problem if I make a pasta I don't like - there it is, for days, staring at me from the refrigerator.

Not for a while yet, but this will be leftovers - I already know I like it.

So, what is it there, just after midnight?

@dagmaraka,
Now I'm envious. I've never made paranthas (it's about time I did). I have made dosas..

@ossobuco,
It's a quarter to one. I am making iced-tea for mañana (Spanish for tomorrow). Had a head-ache most of the day. Stressed for the strange situation. Do we have this little moral conduct ? What bitter to notice the web is no different from day-2-day live ...

I had a small amount of kale from my garden pot with chevre and a fruit smoothie with frozen blueberries, honey yogurt, a banana and some almond milk.

@littlek,
Sounds perfect for ninety eight degree weather.

Elbow macaroni with thinly sliced radishes and scallions. Light mayonnaise dressing. Cold barbequed chicken.
