@CalamityJane,
...or with mushrooms and duck confit and truffeled marsala sauce. That looks sooo good, doesn't it?

Get some duck confit, shred it and put it in with some Marsala sauce, to which you add just a touch of black truffle oil to add richness. Then toss in a pound of cooked mushroom, and tortellini. Quick and good.

I am making a spicy ginger marinated chicken. I hjave a problem, though. I got to the end of the recipe and it says to grill over medium hot coals. What does this translate to for oven temperature?

@alex240101,
alex, that is swoon-worthy

on the flip-side, I'm glad it's not my harvest. I never know what to do when tomatoes go into harvest overload.

@alex240101,
Those are beautiful Alex...I love tomatoes.

Speaking of which...I made grilled mozarella tomato sandwiches tonight. Take the bread butter it - put it butter side down in the skillet...later with fresh mozarella, then a slice or two of tomato, then sprinkle with oregano and basil...toppping off with more mozarella and the top buttered piece of bread. When first side is toasted...flip it and do the other side. We usually have tomato soup as a side...but tonight we had a salad. Romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, chopped vidalia onions, real crumbled bacon and blue cheese dressing...just a smidge that I tossed just to moisten it a bit.

I just took two piping hot fresh baked homemade french bread loaves out of the oven. El Stud wants to have them for supper and nothing else.

Is that okay?

@panzade,
made up some slightly blackened julienned red bell pepper as a bed , upon which we placed a hunk of nice fresh salmon. It was great, we had some stemers to start offn with and it was accompanied by St Pauli Girl NA beer (One of the few NA beers that is actually pretty good tasting)

No dessert, I need to reduce the poundals.

@panzade,
not Cleveland Steamers either!!.

Clams are hard to get this year. A lot of contamination has caused RED TIDES in several clam bed areas. RED TIDES can make you see strange tings and go stark ravin nuts, and then you just die.

Fish tacos. Fresh caught perch, tomato, light lettuce, shredded muenster cheese, squirt of lime juice. One in a corn tortilla, one in a flour tortilla.

@alex240101,
Last night we went out and had some steamed clams and a SUPER LOBSTAH ROLL. It was the best damn lobsterroll I ever et. It had a homemade mayo and the roll was fresh and the lobster was a plenty. To think that lobster was only served to prisoners in years gone by.

This was the first lobstah we had since we returned last week. (Our rule is no more than once a week , even though its really cheap this year) If you eat this stuff two days in a row, you can actually get sick of it.

Tonight, Mrs F is making a chicken corn pie. I love chicken corn pie.

@farmerman,
Hello farmerman. Had a chicken corn mini pie once. It had cheese and onion in it. Is that close to your better halves version?

Tonight is slow cooker night! I am making green tomatillo chicken. It's a recipe I came across in a crock pot recipe book that turned out to be REALLY good.
