@hamburger,
It was good! I did miss the brisket though, even if the tofurkey was better than I thought it would be.
Pickled herring, yummmmm....
@ehBeth,
Quote:nonono - tater/broccoli soup is now msOlga soup here!
Oh wow!
This is a first for me, ehBeth! I have never ever had any dish named after me before! I now feel like a Person of Influence!
@msolga,
Hubby got a free birthday meal at Furrs Fresh Buffet so we went for a "Linner" (combination lunch and dinner) a little while ago. Fresh pears, cold broccoli/cauliflour salad, excellent grilled mystery fish, small portion mashed potatoes with a touch of cream gravy, and a sliver of millionaire pie for dessert. We won't eat again until tomorrow.
three course homemade chinese meal.
(thanks chicago and tranna)
last night, an asparagus, red onion and old cheddar cheese omelet, with peameal bacon and home fries
today, ham with a brown sugar glaze in the slow cooker, the rest of the asparagus, sweet potato and something else, not sure what
It's my night to cook, but I am neck deep in a project so I'm copping out with a tuna helper.
@Aldistar,
leftover pork roast sandwich with about 4 servings of asparagus
ok, mebbe not 4, but it's more than one polite restaurant serving of asparagus
@ehBeth,
I made chicken...again tonight..
But I seasoned it well...cut slashes across the top and stuck in strips of bacon I had cut to size...I then mixed melted butter, chives and worcestershire sauce and poured it over the chicken - cooked until done...had some corn on the cob and a nice salad with normal fixin's (tomato, cucumber, slivered carots) - bleu cheese dressing (homemade) and some mandarin oranges on the side.
I liked it a lot.
@mismi,
any leftovers?
oh wait, i had leftovers already, the last of mondays ham in a sandwich
@djjd62,
Popcorn in teflon pan, lil oil, 1/3 c. corn, cover, pop pop pop, and a tad of olive oil/butter/garlic powder/chile pepper. Three almond stuffed green olives. Will probably raid the raw carrots in a bit.
@djjd62,
I do have leftovers...I pack them up and send them to you!
We will have cereal tomorrow night...got a game.
Osso - that popcorn sounds yummy to me.
@mismi,
mismi, that chicken sounds great
I do a vaguely similar thing when I want to make a cheater club sandwich. I wrap bacon around chicken or turkey breast and then toss the combo into the George Foreman. Makes it so much easier to just prepare them together.
@ehBeth,
Thanks Beth
Sounds like a good idea to me...
I gotta' get me one of those.
couple of falafel wraps, falafel, lettuce, cucumber, red onion and a sweet vidalia onion dressing, yummy
@djjd62,
Hey Didge - we are grilling steaks, roasting aparagus with butter and salt and pepper and new potatoes with parsley and butter. I know - it is not the healthiest of meals but the Prof and I only do this every once in a while...
We are going to sit on the screen porch, drinking LaCrema Pinot Noir and grilling steaks (boys are suppose to be in their beds...me thinks there is some rough housing going on still though!) It is suppose to rain later...watching the clouds roll in...it's been a good day!
@mismi,
i went for easy, and it just ended up healthy
yours sounded really good
@djjd62,
a weird mix of tiny cookies, miniaturized cheese cubes and some kind of meat, about 5 ketchup potato chips, some celery sticks and dip
nothing like trying to make a meal out of the offerings on the snack table at a dancers' party
@djjd62,
It was good...I will do healthy tomorrow!
I love party food Bethie...hope you had fun!
@ehBeth,
I thought I was the only ketchup potato chip person...(mebbe I'm canajun and just don't know it yet)
tonight is beenie-weenies and hot bread, cuz I bought plants.
@Rockhead,
Oh but beanie weenies are so good! That's one of our fun meals!
