I've been a bit off-colour lately, and not able to eat.

Tonight - I decided to get whatever I fancied, and hang the cost, financial or waistline.

So....duck salad from the local Thai takeaway. Cost $12. Satisfaction - enormous.

Lucky I don't have expensive tastes.

Turning stove into flat top tonight for my guests.
Sliders and dogs. Chilly cheese fries. So bad for you, but,...sooooo good.

Tonight I'm making "Spaghetti al tonno".

Impressed you all?

OK, I confess: It's just spaghetti tossed in tuna, parsley, anchovy cooked in olive oil with garlic cloves & chilli, etc, etc.

Very simple but very tasty. Very Happy

I hope it's wild salmon. That's the best.

Last night I had some of the hottest chile I have ever had but I was a guest at a persons home and did not want to insult them by turning it down.

Last time I cooked a whole trout, after years ago cooking trout easily, I found it a network of little bones and gave up. Advice on this welcome...
I suppose buying filets is a clue.

And, Alex, did you do that chicken pot pie from scratch? Sounds delicious.. whether it was scratch or not.

It was good, osso! (Haven't done the tonno thing for many a month!)

And so quick & easy to make.

And such an inexpensive meal, too! Very Happy

But tonight I am mightily pooped, wilted & jaded. (A grindingly hard day at work.)
So I'm checking out the freezer for the easiest way.
The best thing in there on offer is IT!
Thank heavens for all those left-overs! Very Happy

The salmon was OK. I suspect that it had been frozen before they sold it as fresh. You can tell because the flesh gets tough. I decided to make roasted cauliflower instead of the sauted spinach. I served the spinach raw as a salad. Roasted cauliflower is wonderful. It gets really caramelly and sweet.
